I keep wanting to say "well, assuming our D shows up on the road, we could win Thursday night" but it's really "well, hoping Manning doesn't throw four more INTs, we could win Thursday".

Christ. Every week is like an early decade Colts-Pats playoff game.

Wishing injury on players, stay classy New Jersey.

It's okay though, I understand where you guys are coming from. After all your team has more in common with the Kardashians and Jersey Shore than an actual winning team.
Stay classy Boston

The Patriots and their organization are beacons of light, justice and wholesome, honest play.

They'd never try to hurt anyone, cheat, or do anything petty like challenge calls in which they concussed an opposing player on the play ever. The Patriots are all about the integrity of the game!

Says the slapdick team...

Did you know that the Patriots have never had any players implicated in any crimes, or any steroid issues?

Did you know that they never cheated during any NFL season?

I hope that all organizations could be as good as the Patriots. How come they never consider Kraft the same way they consider scumbags like the Maras and Rooneys? Those guys have had nothing but killers, rapists and cheaters in their FO and on the field - not like the Pats, who are all-American!

Do you know you are talking about the NFL? :lol

Weak. I understand you are bringing out the trolling...but commonson.

But what a sweet win for the Falcons. Playing like crap and still winning. Grimes and Weems had good days. The OL had a good day protecting Ryan. But the running game was shut down. The passing game was very spotty. The pass coverage was good but Freeman threw some amazing passes right on target. When we were down by 14 points, I did not give up hope. I had faith, I had faith that St. Ryan would work his magic once more.
Now a glorious Monday at work, the air is crisp, the skies are blue, and the workload is not bad. Hallelujah.
Edit: Forgot to mention Michael Jenkins and Ovie Mughelli. Both did very well, both picked up some slack left by others.

When was that? Could've sworn we were down by 10! :P

Now on to our second bye week, known as the Panthers.

I've never been a good troll. I haven't spent enough time in NBA-Age.

At the time, it seemed like 21. Yes it was only 10 points. Didn't sleep too well last night.

Waiting to go to the next home game feels like an eternity. Playoff ticket money is due on the 21st, thankfully I get paid before then. :D

If the Falcons keep winning, they get a bye the first round, right? When would be their first playoff game, January 16th?

What coaches should be available for '11?

I am actually a Sparano fan but just really have a feeling that after going 11-5, 7-9, and likely 6-10 or 7-9 this season the new owner would like to hire his own coach.

Thats OK. I can pick up the slack.

I know it is hard to understand a lot of things when you are a Pats fan so try and read this slowly and see how much sinks in. Notwithstanding the fact that the leader of your team is the spokesperson for women's shoes it is an accepted fact that the Pats are one of the dirtiest teams in the league. Even though they seem to get away with late hits head shots on an almost weekly basis (see Hines Ward KO), that still doesn't change the fact that they are dirtier than one of Bellicheat's hoodies. Was it a coincidence that without their steroids and handycams their defense has been pretty shitty against every team other than the Steelers over the last 6 years?

The Patriots are pure evil in football form. Rex Ryan is a personal hero of mine for standing up to their tyranny and I wish him nothing but the best in his quest to save that division from evil.

As always, fuck da Pats!

Bart Scott I will always hate you but if you get a shot go low and knock Brady out of his Uggs!

Alright Falcons, Giants, Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Niners, Bears and Vikings fans.

I don't like you and you guys probably don't like me. But tonight, we all hope Lord Brady is dethroned and is delivered unto the injury kart. We all hope the Jets can send him crying to his wife while wearing his girl boots and long hair. We all hope that his throws are inaccurate, his receivers retarded, and his lineman lazy.

Or we hope a dump truck runs over his knees.

Tonight we are all Jets fans!

Lord Brady has to beat the Bears next week.

So basically, you are still bitter about Hines Ward not smiling with his silly catch-per-game streak or something? Nice.

Not bitter friend. If my team had failed to secure a SB in the last 6 years that would cause me to be bitter. If my quarterback was one of the biggest pussies in NFL history who was a spokesmodel for women's shoes I would be bitter. If my team was unable to beat a 30 year old virgin in the Superbowl after going 18-0 I would be bitter. If my team had blown a 100 point 1st half lead against Peyton Manning I would be bitter. Those are the kind of things that would make a man bitter.

The Pats hit on Ward just makes me thoughtful. It makes me wish that the NFL would allow James Harrison and co. the same latitude if we get the misfortune of seeing the Pats in the playoffs. Especially against Brady. Can't you just imagine him crying on the sidelines if Harrison or Woodley was allowed to punch him in the nose? Now seeing my qb being a pussy who can't handle being hit and begging for flags, that would definitely make me bitter.

Watching Rex's fat ass and the Jets celebrate a huge victory in our house is going to be fucking awful. I hope that doesn't happen. I don't even want to think about that shit.

Dennis Green, Wade Phillips, Jim Mora Jr., Lane Kiffin... all the big names.

Oh yeah.

So Brady will get hurt tonight, be out next week against the Bears, before coming back with a vengeance against the Packers.

At least that's how things often go for the Bears....

Maybe this will bring back great memories for you...:lol

Michael Felger: This is not, just cause it popped in my head, coach….Do you remember the AFC Championship game at your place when you have a 4th and 1? And BB called a timeout and called Ted Johnson over? And they had a little conversation and Johnson stopped , I guess it was Bettis? Short of the first down. Do you remember that play?

Bill Cowher: Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. And you know what? We called a timeout. How does he know what we are going to call in the huddle?

I mean, listen: They made the stop. We didn’t get em blocked. And ya know, and so, in hindsight, we should have ran to the other side (laughs all around). Listen: Those aren’t the ones. Those aren’t the signals. I don’t worry about that.

and here is more fun from your coach on stealing calls..

Bill Cowher: You know, let me just say this: To answer your question, no, I don’t think so. I just know as a head coach, you are always looking for a competitive edge. We had people out there trying to look at signals. We had guys go to games. They would tape the signal caller and also write it down. They would take it back and match up the signals with the game film and certain defenses with certain plays that were being called, particularly the defenses being called, to see if we could come up with some kind of an alert for a signal. So, what they did with videotaping the signal caller, people do it with the people in the stands!!

Fuuuuuuuuu...

I went to the Jets Shop in NY for a Titans of NY hat on the same day that my wife ordered me one (in the wrong size) for Xmas...

The 00s have treated me kindly, I've been treated to championships ( sans hockey :'( ) across the board and entertaining seasons by my teams. Super Bowl XLII was an INCREDIBLE game to watch. I'm a grateful fan, don't get into panic mode like most of you gents do.

Also, Your quarterback IS a pussy who begs for flags AND not to mention sex enabling his rape mode. I rather have a QB with flowing hair, shitty boots, super model wife, over a fucking rapist.

And now our best CB, Jerraud Powers, is out for the year with a broken forearm.

Pull Peyton, put in Painter, and draft a new O-line, TE, and WR!

Just because Bill Cowher is a retard on game day that doesn't believe the other team knowing your plays will make any difference doesn't take away from the fact that the Pats are cheating assholes!

Getting back to the game tonight. Is it true that Pat fans are going to be wearing these to the games from now on?

Ok, I don't like the Patriots and would take the Jets over them the majority of the time, but I picked the Patriots to win in my pick em leagues so unfortunately I have to roll with them tonight.

On our game from yesterday, I will admit that I thought we were done after Ryan's second INT and we went down 10. The offense just didn't give me any signs of hope we were gonna pull it out. Then Weems finally breaks one and changes the game. Incredible. :D

I really, really hate the Bucs too so it's all so very sweet sweeping them.

Weather at New England:

Mostly Cloudy
Temperature: 31°F
Feels like: 19°F
Sunset: 4:13 PM
Probability of precip: 20%
Wind: 18 mph.

Gonna be a cold game tonight.

I'm picking the Jets because they are riding a lucky streak right now.

I'm more amused that you could barely beat Seattle in the SB when the Steelers not only cheated but also clearly payed off the refs.

His feet are too big (especially when broken) to fit in women's shoes. So the answer is no.

I understand your hate. Getting in eliminated in the AFC championship twice at home against the same team can do that to a person. Especially when Troy Brown was stealing FG block and punt return signals in one of them.

It does hurt. Probably almost as much as getting shutout by the cRavens at home in the wild card or seeing Jake the Snake outplay your Lord (false) and Savior.

I do find it weird that I am doing most of the trash talking before this Jets/Pats game. More proof that no rivalry currently compares to Steelers/Ravens.

I think the 2004 AFC championship was better. So many great plays that I remember. I think my favorite play in that game was when Ben threw a pick to Harrison. Rodney slowed down for Vrabel to block and Vrabel just kills Ben.

You let an unknown dude catch a pass against his helmet that cost you an undefeated* season!!:lol :lol
