See this letting a team score late in the game is a bad f'n habit the Ravens have gotten in to... and it actually started before this losing streak they were on...

Oh no Kordell is in!

Fox Sports Australia actually doing a decent job by showing the Chargers/Bucs game. I've been looking forward to seeing the Superchargers all season. Should be a decent contest.

I think it's also relief that I'm not seeing the Favres again.

Gah. Seems like I listened to the wrong game today. It was supposed to be a Jags game, but we blew someone out. That can't be right, can it?

What's this about Plummer giving the finger to the crowd?!

edit - from ESPN HQ

After the pick, the ref went to the sideline to talk to someone. While that was happening, the cameras went to and showed Plummer sitting on the bench with his back to the crowd. He put his hand behind his head with the bird.

ESPN's just picking it up it seems haha, he just reached behind him after throwing a pick and flipped off the crowd :lol

Just looking at the Cleveland team stats from today -

9/21 for 67 yards passing

17 for 29 yards rushing

Bills defensive stat padding ++

Nice run by Lamont Jordan nullified by a holding call.. man that has to hurt. Looking at the replay.... huh?

Steelers offense really misses Plax. He can't come back soon enough. Our 3rd and 4th recievers are good, but they can't get any seperation against a really good Jets secondary.

There were a few throws that were perfect by Ben that were just broken up by a better play by their corners.

Edit: Jets are killing themsevles on penalties.

It kills me to watch the Jets be penalized almost everytime they manage to get their hands on the ball. They're a great time in my eyes and they can pull off a lot, but these penalties are dragging them down.

EDIT: WTF... THEY CANT GET A BREAK.... NOT ONE BREAK.

I'm getting the feeling that these referees are conspiring against the Jets. A lot of these calls are questionable.

Don't cheat the refs won't throw their flags!

:lol :lol

And the Jets with another flag... but I don't know about this one being legit. Nice reverse angle his hand was definitely on the arm.... questionable how much he pulled the receiver though.

You know with the new rules you can't do that kind of stuff. Obviously Herm Edward didn't think those calls were bad enough to be challenged so......

Still overall, no Jets fan can be disapointed with their corners. They are making play after play. To this point they are owning the Steelers recievers. Even without Plax we have a pretty solid core so they have to be happy with that.

Man what's the current count on the penalties/yardage for the Jets already?

So would the Ravens :(

I haven't looked at the standings today....but I don't think it's possible for both teams to make it actually.

11 penalties for over 80 yards I think.....

Herm Edwards is going to go apeshit at halftime.

No doubt, and unless I'm reading the pass int rules wrong I disagree with your comment:
http://www.nfl.com/fans/rules/passinterference

It's pass int when:
(c) Grabbing a receiver’s arm(s) in such a manner that restricts his opportunity to catch a pass.

It is not pass int when:
(d) Laying a hand on a receiver that does not restrict the receiver in an attempt to make a play on the ball.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

He wrapped up Hines on the play, it is just a question of "when" he wrapped him up. And it was extremely close to when the ball got there. Wasn't an easy call and could have gone either way.

OMG Steelers get penalty, refs are biasedness!! :rolleyes

P.S. Speaking of breaks from the refs, Giants never would have won that game against Baltimore, but they got a lot of help from the refs.

Offensive Pass Int?!?!!? Wow.

And intercepted..... incredible... Jets could have scored and instead after the penalty turn the ball over.

I think you can challenge anything except if it happens in the last 2 minutes of the game or certain instances where the refs rule it a dead ball.

Steelers losing TOP 2 weeks in a row. :(

This is not a defense that can do it for 40+ minutes (then again very few can do that, Ravens 2000 was one of those).

ARGH! STUPID PENALTIES!

The Jets are playing ok otherwise, and they are playing the Steelers tough, but these penalties are just killers and highly uncharacteristic.

It's tight.

It'll come down to the Jets, Bills, Jags, Broncos and Ravens for the Wildcard spots.

Final schedules for each team after today:

Baltimore -

Dec 19 at Indianapolis
Dec 26 at Pittsburgh
Jan 2 Miami

Buffalo -

Dec 19 at Cincinnati
Dec 26 at San Francisco
Jan 2 Pittsburgh

Denver -

Dec 19 at Kansas City
Dec 25 at Tennessee
Jan 2 Indianapolis

Jets -

Dec 19 Seattle
Dec 26 New England
Jan 2 at St. Louis

Jacksonville -

Dec 19 at Green Bay
Dec 26 Houston
Jan 2 at Oakland

Very friendly schedule for Buffalo and Jacksonville, who could run the table respectively. Baltimore and the Jets in particular face some tough ones.

I'm pretty sure you cannot. There may be some exceptions... but please let me know the next time you see a pass interference call challenged.

Any Madden disciples want to settle this? I am too lazy to go look at the rules.

Nope penalties cant be challenged. I think PI should be allowed to be challenged since it can change games drastically because of how the penalty is enforced at the spot of the foul unlike any other penalty.

Wow, can't believe the Jets didn't come up with the fumble. Their whole defense was around the ball, guess they didn't notice the ball was out.

Steelers are being given soooo many chances, we need to start capitolizing soon......
