it doesnt matter if they get off to the best start in franchise history or the worst they always find themselves limping into the playoffs.

Wildcard games so far -

Jets @ Chargers
Vikings @ Packers

Seattle will play St Louis, it just depends on where.
If Denver win they'll play the real Indy next week.

Here in the rainy suburbs of Buffalo where it is resembling an early march day everyone has gone into a state of depreesion including myself. I often ask my self why not just be a front runner and give up on this team? I dunno living in this city has a strange effect on you. Being inside that stadium when a game is sold out is a sight too behold. 73,000 people on their feet for a meaningless down is something to behold. The thing though about this football team we hold so close too our hearts is the choking. Whether it was bad special teams combined with bad reffing in Tennesee in the playoffs or the infamous Super Bowl miss we seem too blow it.
Todays Goats
Bledsoe
Lindell
The team didnt look like they were trying today besides the D but those two blew every chance we had too make an effort.
Living in Buffalo sucks, but I'll be back next season on my feet for every play I'm at the Ralph for.

I thought if the Saints were to beat the Panthers they would get the last spot? Can someone explain how they determine who gets in? How did the Vikings lose and still get in the playoffs? That seems f'ed up.

I'm not a huge Saints fan, but for the team actually come through in the last 4 games and still not make the playoffs...that kind of sucks. No disrespect to Panther fans is meant at all. IMO, the Saints and the Panthers were playing to win the games they needed the most and it sucks to see the Vikings lose and still make it in.

The saints-panthers game wasn't a "win and you're in" game, it was more of an elimination game. However, had the rams lost, the winner would have gotten in.

But Carolina, New Orleans, and St Louis are all 8-8?

COPYING THE CHEERLEADERS....WITHOUT ANY POMPOMS!
BOUNCING A BASKETBALL THROUGH A NET...WITH HIS HEAD! WACKY
SHAKING HIS ASS AT THE FANS IN THE END ZONE!

Carolina is 7-9. The vikes, rams, and saints are 8-8. In a case of 3 way tie, they look at conference record, that's where the rams and vikes edge the saints out. I believe this is the case anyway.

So philly will probably play either the Rams or Seahawks then the Falcons. Its like a dream come true.

I would be a little concerned if my starters went a whole month without playing against a real team and my team lost two straight games going into the playoffs.

goddamit, Griese!
if i was indy i would lose this on purpose. baltimore played them really tough, the jags beat the colts in indy earlier this year...the broncos suck.

i could smell another 41-10 thrashing next week

Eagles never lose coming off of a bye and we sure as hell wont lose to the rams or seahawks in philly. We rested our starter a couple years ago for the last game then came out and DESTROYED the bucs. Im not worried at all.

Have you seen how we're playing against Oakland? If I were the Colts, I'd be sending Peyton back out there...

Those teams actually scared me, both of them matched up really well with us. None of the remaining NFC teams can beat the eagles barring injury. Sorry to dissapoint.

I felt the same way. I kept waiting for the Bills to blow our "scrubs" out of the water in the second half. I was already proud that we had a lead going into the half. I really don't get that though, when everything is on the line and the team playing for nothing is going faster to the ball?

Crazy, oh yeah and Bledsoe sucks.

Us winning the NFC is good for the conference anyway. That way Reid wont have to apply his mormon/voodoo curse.

* 2000 - Giants beat Eagles in the Divisional Playoff round. 2001 - Giants finish 7-9, miss playoffs.

* 2001 - Rams beat Eagles in NFC Championship. 2002 - Rams finish 7-9, miss playoffs.

* 2002 - Bucs beat Eagles in NFC Championship. 2003 - Bucs finish 7-9, miss playoffs.

* 2003 - Panthers beat Eagles in NFC Championship. 2004 - Panthers finish 7-9, miss playoffs.

Wow that's crazy. A superbowl appearance is still well worth a follow-up season of 7-9 tho.

The Saints (6-6) have a better conference record than the Vikings (5-7). But Minnesota beat New Orleans in Week 6. Sucks for New Orleans because they actually beat St. Louis in Week 3.

I read up on it. Between the saints, vikes, and rams, the first thing to look at was conference record. The rams had the best record there, so they become the #5 seed. Then it came down to a tiebreaker between NO and minny, which would be head-to-head. And like you said, minny beat NO once this season, so they're in.

Does suck for the saints tho.

Ok so Indiana needs to come back against the Broncos, and Oakland needs to lose or tie Oakland, and the Ravens are in, right Darien? :(

Damn you atlanta. Oh well, that still gives me hope. If atlantas second stringers can play close to seattle, we should be able to steal another W in seattle.

Wait a minute! If the NFC west is the weakest division then why do we have 2 teams going in the playoffs? Suck it down losers!

Yeah lol, i thought that to myself earlier.

Anyway, i think this is the game both teams wanted. If we go 3-0 against you guys this year, you should hand that nfc west crown back to us. :D

Damn you, Indianapolis. Your feeble cowardly tactics will come back to bite you next game. You've just made a Denver fan out of me for a week.

oh man, did you see saragusa chatting with those kids while he shoved carrot sticks and chicken wings down his fat fucking gullet? i'm so glad he's on tv so much, he just adds so much to the game.

Holmgren is a total fucking douche bag. Why the hell call a QB sneak on the one with under five minutes to play when you know damn well that Shaun could tie with Martin for the rushing title? It's not like he wasn't gaining any yards in that series. Hell, he had all the yards in that drive. Calling that QB sneak was a slap in Shaun's and the entire O-line's face. Way to fucking bring a team together, Mike.

This game will be the reason Alexander won't resign with Seattle, and at this moment I can't say I'd blame him.

Why the fuck am I a Seahawk fan? I'd rather hire the garbage man to come over and smash my testicles with a hammer for 3 hours every Sunday.

Here's to another 25 years of futility. I gotta go get drunk.
