Yeah lol, i thought that to myself earlier.

Anyway, i think this is the game both teams wanted. If we go 3-0 against you guys this year, you should hand that nfc west crown back to us. :D

Well, the only reason the Rams finished 8-8 is since they played an Eagles team last week that barely played any starters. Eagles play at full strength (Even without TO) they beat the Rams and the Rams finish 7-9.

Next week intriguing matchups in all the playoff games.

Holmgren is a total fucking douche bag. Why the hell call a QB sneak on the one with under five minutes to play when you know damn well that Shaun could tie with Martin for the rushing title? It's not like he wasn't gaining any yards in that series. Hell, he had all the yards in that drive. Calling that QB sneak was a slap in Shaun's and the entire O-line's face. Way to fucking bring a team together, Mike.

This game will be the reason Alexander won't resign with Seattle, and at this moment I can't say I'd blame him.

Why the fuck am I a Seahawk fan? I'd rather hire the garbage man to come over and smash my testicles with a hammer for 3 hours every Sunday.

Here's to another 25 years of futility. I gotta go get drunk.
I thought Mike Holmgren was exposed as a fraud years ago. Apparently you guys in Seattle never got the memo. Saban > you. :lol PEACE.

what's your point? the rams had to play 4 games against the afc east this season. I'd say it was all balanced out in the end.

My point is they should be sitting home with the Bears. :p

But they are in. And the Rams do have a good draw in the first round. A team they can beat.

rams shouldn't even be in the playoffs! they are a fraud team!

then again i guess most nfc teams are frauds. i still think thats bullshit that the rams and saints have an 8-8 record, and the saints beat the rams head to head, but the rams get in. seems to me like the first tiebreaker should be head to head, THEN conference record.

That is the first tiebreaker between TWO teams. Probleme for the saints was, minnesota lost, which caused a THREE way tie.

i understand the "rule", but it's still bullshit. it should go like this:

3 teams. did they play each other? yes. here are the results:

Vikings beat Saints - there is one team in
Saints beat Rams - there is the second team

case closed!

if the rams had played the vikings, that would have been the tiebreak, as i understand it.

...But what if the Rams beat the Vikings?

Anyhow, as put by The Score: If the Steelers B team could put the hurt down on the Bills...

but they didn't beat the vikings. i can understand if all 3 teams alternated wins, then go to conference record.

yeah but how is that fair? the vikings are 1-0, the saints 1-1. if you're gonna look at head to head wins, each team should have the same amount of trys.

I wonder if any espn talking heads are gonna eat crow? Look how fast they jumped off that carolina bandwagon :lol I see tom jackson still refuses to give the rams even a shred of credit. oh well, on to seattle!

adios carolina

Its amazing how they make these idiotic comments then do a complete 180 a couple hours later. Carolina had allready won the NFC this morning despite not having beaten a winning team and having a 7-8 record. I wonder if they even watch the games.

:lol I know. All i heard was how much "heart and character" carolina has. And that they were the only team that posed a threat to philly. Please. Carolina scared no one. I can't wait to see what douchebag salisbury has to say on sportscenter. Berman and tom jackson had nothing to say, not surprisingly.

the Panthers were as good a shot as anyone in the shitty NFC to be the Eagles "only threat".

OMG -- Bish, I still think Suzy Kolber is hot, but the hat she's wearing makes her look like a lost pilgrim who ended up in Giants Stadium by mistake.

Right. Forgotten about atlanta? Vick sucks as a passing QB, but him along with duckett and dunn could run every single play against the iggles. we raped their 1st string run defense, what kind of damage do you think atlanta could do?

goddamit, Griese!
i would still like to meet one person that likes salisbury. because so far, i have not found a single one

We will have to wait until next season to see that happen, but we might only have to wait a week to see the Colts go down. :D

If you don't see the Steelers as the best team in the NFL at this point, I don't know what else to say.

After tonight, a Colts loss to Denver would have me cracking up.

Not gonna happen. Don't blame the Colts 'cause the Jaguars couldn't take care of business on the field. Jags were in if they won their last two games and didn't choke against the Texans. Who, then, in the very next week, lose to Cleveland....

It takes alot more effort to shut down the run than it does the pass. Didnt seem like the eagles were willing to step up and do it in a meaningless game. We have allowed under 4 yards per carry in the games that mattered since Trotter was inserted in the lineup.

E. George 39
A. Green 37
C. Portis 80
T. Barber 110
C. Portis 37
J. Jones 80

Thats since the Steelers game where we were supposedly exposed. NO NFC team has scored more than 21 on us, we gave dallas 21 points in the monday night blowout and the rams got 20 for obvious reasons. Other than that nobody has even reached the 20's. All the remaning NFC teams can be taken advantage of in the passing game, they cannot score on us thanks to our #1 ranked defense in points allowed (before the bengals game where no starters played). There is no way we dont make it to the superbowl if everyone remains healthy. With Mcnabb Westbrook and TO we are nearly unstoppable. With just Mcnabb and Westbrook we are still one of the best offenses in the NFC.

It has to be only between eagles and steelers. I want to go with stealers but it would be so f'n hilarious if Eagles lost in the NFC Championship. I'm hoping for a 4 peat.

A Giants WR caught a TD?! Time to add that to their record season tally!

Giants WRs' combined touchdowns on the season = 1

:lol

If Bledsoe is the starter for the Bills next season, I officially disown my status as a Bills fan, and hereby take on tennis as my new favorite sport.

Barber with the single season Giants rushing record.
Eli with 3 great games in a row.
We will be a playoff team next year.

Do you guys like what you've seen from JP losman? Martz said he was one of the better QBs in the draft, iirc. Martz also had commented before the draft that roethlisberger was the best QB available. He's a good QB evaluator, if nothing else.

Losman looked great in preseason.

This is great, Giants are not dead last in the division since they beat the cowgirls twice! :lol

What a glorious day. We are undefeated in 2005 like Tiki said! The streak continues in July!

Woooooooo.

It didn't even look like the play was originally called for Tiki; Eli audibled at the line. I'm glad that Tiki was able to get the record, he's such a class act, he sounds like the nicest guy in the world.

Eli is showing signs that he will be great. If we are able to get a solid free agent WR (C Johnson or Burress), and avoid all the killer injuries, we will definately be better that .500.

Just imagine how many yards Tiki would have gotten if the Giants were competitive for all 16 games.

Congrats Eli on that first win. I still thought it was a mistake to start him when they started him, but it might pay off big time next season. Giants have a few great players, but they really need to rebuild that defense and get some deep threat WRs to compete for a Superbowl.

What an exciting finish to a "meaningless game."

Eli Manning leads the Giants in an excellent two minute drive to win his 1st game as a pro. Tiki Barber caps a career year by breaking the Giant's single season rushing record with the game winning TD! Couldn't have asked for a better finish.

NY Giants - 1-0 in 2005. :)

It was a hell of a season for, mostly, the wrong reasons for us (Dallas). We lose our starting QB in training camp because he's a fucking putz, Glenn is out for the season as is Woodson, and our hot-shot rookie RB is injured in the second week and out for 8 weeks. I don't know if Dallas will be playoff ready in a year because they have a hell of a lot of positions to fill on offense and defense, but Julius Jones is enough of a reason to think that we have a better shot next season at having a winning record.

And one heartbroken Panthers fan :(

Oh, and a note to herm edwards. You said if you don't beat the rams, you don't deserve the playoffs. Well you didn't beat us, so why don't you hand that playoff berth to buffalo, they'd get more use out of it than you anyway. Thanks.
