Things have started bad enough for the 0-2 Chiefs. Are their problems about to get worse?

The Kansas City Star reported Monday that the Chiefs might play Sunday's game against Houston without their most explosive offensive weapon -- halfback Priest Holmes.

Holmes missed the last half of the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to Carolina with what the club is calling a sprained left ankle.

I think "Cousin David" should be called "Crazy Uncle David who lives in van down by the river" if he falls to 0-3 against the struggling Chiefs next week

Is 0-3 the breaking point for Texans fans? I'd guess that the media would be jumping out windows as is after loses to two doormat teams.

i am very interested to see what happens between chicago/minnesota, after the bears/lions and the bears/green bay games, its so hard to tell whats going on with their team.. which game is the fluke?

Neither could be a fluke if the Lions continue to play well. Tough call though.....I'd take the Vikings with Mike Brown out of the Bears' lineup.

Alright, I'll do a full set of picks for once :)

Sunday, Sep. 26
Arizona at Atlanta, 1:00 pm -Vick's too hot right now
Baltimore at Cincinnati, 1:00 pm -Homer pick, even though most people will pick us
Chicago at Minnesota, 1:00 pm -The Eagles are fantastic and if the Vikes hadn't choked they would have been right in that game...Don't count them out
Cleveland at N.Y. Giants, 1:00 pm -Hard to call...Each QB had one good week
Houston at Kansas City, 1:00 pm - We will see....Chiefs face Ravens in week 4
Jacksonville at Tennessee, 1:00 pm -Chris Brown is better than Eddie George was
New Orleans at St. Louis, 1:00 pm -Both teams can pass, only one can run
Philadelphia at Detroit, 1:00 pm -I don't like the team, but they're amazing
Pittsburgh at Miami, 1:00 pm -Put Thomas and Taylor on offense or else Miami loses
San Diego at Denver, 4:05 pm - I just don't trust Denver..why I trust the Chargers is my secret
Green Bay at Indianapolis, 4:15 pm - I'm not confident in this game, but someone has to win
San Francisco at Seattle, 4:15 pm - ........Will the Niners flatline?
Tampa Bay at Oakland, 8:30 pm -This looks like the second worst game of the week (Behind Cleveland and NY) yuck

Monday, Sep. 27
Dallas at Washington, 9:00 pm -Both teams are shaky right now

I agree.. There is no reason why the Vikings should of not got that TD before the half. Also there is no reason Owens should of got that TD pass when he dident even catch the ball.

The game had potential to be really good if it wasent for the screw ups. :)

vikings could have at least made it entertaining if they ever decided to throw more than a 6 yard pass. they looked like the raiders of 2002

The Vikings are going to eat Chicago alive. Despite our mistakes last night, Philly won because they were the better team. Best team in the NFC right now, if you ask me. Chicago on the other hand is not going to get that kind of pass rush on Pep every play. And with Mike Brown out, there's no way the Chicago secondary is going to be able to contain Randy.

The thing is, they really couldn't. Kearse made our tackles look stupid, and Philly blitzed nearly every play. And how do you beat the blitz? You throw to where the guy came from, you nickel and dime them until they have to knock it off. We did a GREAT job of that, and we marched all over the Philly D. The problem was we never put it in the end zone, so we never really made their D hurt, and they had no reason to stop doing what they were doing.

Just watch it, he controlls the ball right before his hands hit the ground in the endzone. At that point he is still inbounds.

It was actually one of the best games from week 2... Ok maybe not if your some lunatic who hates the eagles with a passion. Many of the "mistakes" were just great plays by the opposing team. There were only about 3 punts the entire game. The offense lived up to the hype but the defense made some key plays as well.

hahaha...every single person on ATH and tony and mike on PTI said it wasn't a catch. it's ok man, you guys won. everyone knows it wasn't a catch, but 'sall good for the iggles.

glad to see a few people are having faith in the lions, :). I think a lot of it is going to have to do with the crowd in Detroit (which should be insane; this game is a lot bigger for Detroit than to Philly). This city has been starved for a good football team for a long time, still I'm doubtful we can pull it off. Oh well, happy to be 2-0 right now anyway.

The latest dose of bad news came early Monday when cornerback Eric Warfield was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving a few hours after intercepting two passes and returning one for a touchdown.

Johnson County, Kan., District Attorney Paul Morrison said he intends to file charges against Warfield. It would be the third time Warfield faced such a charge in the past three years. Under Kansas law, a third drunken driving charge is a felony that comes with a sentence of up to a year in jail.

Warfield could also be subject to a league suspension as a repeat violator. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Commissioner Paul Tagliabue would decided on any punishment, but not until the criminal case is finished.

RUH OH

two monday night football's, two shitty games, and i'm not talking about on the field play. i'm talking about the QB's in both games, particulary favre and mcnabb. madden and the entire media suck so much favre/mcnabb dick they should be arrested for prostitution. here is what i heard last night:

Madden: mmmguhn THAT play by mcnabb was like when you were a little kid and you would go outside to go play in the sandlot and your mom would say hey dont get dirty before supper but you know youre just a kid and youre boomin and bammin with "sand feet" as i like to call them eennn then you just go to the sand and you say hey joey you go deep and ill throw it to ya. well THATS what mcnabb is doing with terrell owens, he's saying hey terrell you go deep and ill throw it to you. because thats what football is all about, half of it is saying hey you go deep and ill throw it to ya, so on this play you just see mcnabb say hey terrell you go deep and ill throw it to you. thats what makes mcnabb special because you see these 2 guys and theyre just playing catch, mcnabb says hey you go deep and ill throw it to ya and then terrell does and its just like you remember as a kid just having fun out there.

and you know what else im sick of? im sick of al michaels when he does this:

Al: OK look (his sentences always start off like that when he's about to suck a dick or make a stupid comment), i know i know you hear the cliche heart of a champion, but this guy comes in week in and week out and just performs.

its like he wants to discredit himself before anyone else can. "OK look, i'm a fucking retard and i know it sounds cliche but when he was in san francisco they said well terrell is this terrell is that. hey, we talked to his former offensive coordinator and he said terrell is a good guy"

i pretty much hate 80% of announcers. there are some good guys on fox, but they are usually stuck covering the "bad" games (which is a plus for me cause so far they've done every 49ers game!)

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
does anyone else think FMT should have his own column on ESPN.com?

That's nice. bishoptl's better than Eddie George was.

The question is, is Chris Brown better than:

Travis Henry .... 21-26, 23-75
Edgerrin James ... 27-76, 15-44
Dominick Davis ... 16-53
LaDainian Tomlinson ... 10-38
Ricky Williams ... 19-76
Eddie George ... 27-88, 20-73
Jamal Lewis ... 21-68
Curtis Martin ... 20-56
Michael Pittman ... 10-60
Tony Hollings ... 18-19
Antoine Smith ... 17-39
Deuce McAllister ... 21-50
T.J. Duckett ... 22-96
Quentin Griffin ... 25-66

Seventeen straight games without giving up a hundred yards on the ground. If LT, Jamal Lewis and Ricky Williams couldn't do it, I don't give Chris Brown much of a chance.

I'm not saying we won't lose this one, but if we do, we'll lose it through the air.
