Man, the officiating in this game was fucking horrible. Last week, the Redskins deserved to lose against the Giants and Gibbs should thank his lucky stars (and Gregg Williams) that it wasn't a total blowout.
Here, you had two key officiating problems. Defensive interference called against Walt Harris after he was mauled. Mauled! Bullshit!
Then Rod Gardner is mauled by Terrence Newman and denied a TD. No call?
This isn't crazy fan-in-denial rumblings, either. Both Al and Madden saw it! "Bogus!" Remember that? Bogus!
In a game decided by three points, this sucked. I applaud the Redskins defense which was playing without LaVar Arrington, Phillip Daniels, Mike Barrow and Matt Bowen. And Sean Taylor got banged up.
The only thing to come out of this game if you're a 'Skins fan is this -- we ain't 0-3, we get to play the Browns and I think Brunell and the offense finally started to click in the second half of this game. I've never seen it that prolific and Brunell looked horrible before. Something has clicked and I definitely feel better heading into Week 4.
