It looks like Westbrook might miss the game. I bet Mahe and Levens tear you guys up, Westbrook was running like crap even though the offensive line has been dominating. The media jumped on his bandwagon a year late. Since game 2 he has not been hitting the holes, people thought I was crazy but its becoming more and more obvious. Maybe he can correct it during his time off. TO vs Sanders in the ego bowl would be fun to watch if they get matched up somehow.

The NFL is lucky the Bucs have a bye week. This last victory is simply the start of a much larger 10 game win streak. Bucs will be in the playoffs, mark it down fools!

P.S. Michael Clayton is the Rookie of the Year right now and that's a fact.

Atlanta at Denver, 4:05 pm

So, six games into the season the Chiefs are getting things done on defense. But the true mark of progress for this group is next Sunday, when the Indianapolis Colts come to town. Ten months ago, they were embarrassed. Only Lional Dalton, Jared Allen and Benny Sapp do not have the stain of that “no-punt” performance on them. It’s the major reason Cunningham was brought back to Arrowhead.

“I started thinking about Peyton Manning in the shower,” Cunningham said.

You hear that Manning? Gunther thinks about you, while naked, in the shower. Fear us.

<sigh> This Sunday, the roughest game we've played so far.... the defense is clicking right now.. but the offense is not.... no JLew, no Ogden... I'm still pullin for us... but the odds are heavily against us... oh well as long as Pitt goes down to the Pats(pretty much a a given) it's cool.

As the showdown between the Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles approaches, another chapter has been added to the feud between the Ravens and receiver Terrell Owens.

In his recently released autobiography, Catch This! Going Deep with the NFL's Sharpest Weapon, Owens wrote that general manager Ozzie Newsome used a racially charged comment in an attempt to lure the Pro Bowl receiver to the Ravens seven months ago.

According to the book, Newsome told Owens' agent that "he was a black man from Alabama just like TO" and "that sometimes a black man's gotta be slapped."

Asked about the statement, Newsome said yesterday, "Please, why should I respond to that? I did tell TO that he should check with the veterans we brought in over the years. I told him to call Rod Woodson, Shannon Sharpe, Michael McCrary and Sam Adams, and they will let him know how we treat veterans here. I'm not talking any more about it."

WTF???????????????

Here's an example of a credibility issue... I have more faith believing stuff in Phil Jackson's book... than I do in TO's... go figure....

Wrong! I have told you for weeks the Steelers are going to upset the Pats in dramatic fashion. October 31st is the beginning of the end of the Pats.

The Cardinals and Dolphins both won this week. Fuck the obvious pick, the Steelers can do it! Hell, they have to...they've got NE, Philly, NY, NY, and Jacksonville left on the schedule. What better time than now to start winning the big games?

Say goodbye to your undefeated seasons, Pats and Iggles!

I want them to win, obviously being a Falcons fan...but we just got by SD, got dismantled by KC and Preist...Droughns is going to bowl through us if Priest's performance is a precursor for things to come...i'm a realist. My heart is with a win, my pick is a loss...

I am thinking next year is going to be very interesting in the division. Titans have alot of holes in the team even with McNair and Indy won't have James after this year. All this with the Texans and Jags getting better.

see, I don't think James is that big of a deal. The Colts really need to pass more as it is. Harrison is more important than James IMO.
But yeah, that division is gonna be pretty heated.

Anyone else see this stuff on the colts?

http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

Meanwhile, it turns out that Wayne isn't the only guy who was in the face of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning on Sunday at the end of the team's loss to the Jaguars. Peyton also was told to stifle himself by the game officials, whom Manning apparently was trying to instruct on the finer points of handling an instant replay review.

Sources close to the on-field action tell us that Manning was acting like a "f--king baby, and like he was the Commissioner or something." We know it's heresy in some circles to dub Manning a big phony. But we've heard it from enough league insiders to persuade us that there must indeed be something to it. And with some of Manning's own players mustering the stones to take him on in the public eye, Peyton's authority over the team could be crumbling.

Edit: I missed the best part

The folks in Indy are either mum or in full spin cycle when it comes to the topic of Peyton Manning and sideline scuffle with WR Reggie Wayne (wethinks the Colts are avoiding the truth because the truth could be that no one on the team likes Manning).

Any wide reciever who is stupid enough to fuck with their meal ticket deserves what they get. That was a pretty weak rumor as well. The best they could come up with is that players are resentful of the fact he gets paid so much money? They must have been working overtime to come up with that doozy. :rolleyes

I looked at that profootballtalk rumor mill and here's something related to the Panthers...

PANTHERS FACING REALITY ON DELHOMME

A league source tells us that the Carolina Panthers are beginning to believe that quarterback Jake Delhomme was a one-year wonder -- and that the team plans to bring in a veteran in the offseason to challenge Delhomme's spot as the starter.

In our view, this development makes the Panthers a prime candidate for the services of Kurt Warner, whose play to date with the Giants has secured for him a shot at a starting gig in another NFL city come 2005.

The only potential glitch here, of course, is that Warner and Delhomme are represent by the same agency. Mark Bartelstein handles Warner, and Bartelstein's colleague, Rick Smith, is Delhomme's agent. If Warner were to come to Carolina, Jake possibly would dump Smith.

For the Panthers (and for any team) such issues are irrelevant. But, as a practical matter, agents try to finesse their way around such situations. Tom Condon, for example, didn't want Eli Manning in San Diego because he also represented Drew Brees. Thus, our guess is that Bartelstein would try to nudge Warner elsewhere in order to avoid any potentially messy complications with Delhomme.

Either way, the Panthers will be looking for someone else to push Delhomme next season -- either to greater heights or to the bench.

Dunno what to think about that...

The Jets-Miami game will be a ratings grabber for ABC. LOL. Go Fins!

Big Ben may just be the spoiler for the Pats. He's yet to face a team like them and it could actually help him. If the Pats keep getting stupid penalties, it may end at 21. Should be a good game. Potentially the Pats at 4 and then the Sox at 8 if it goes to 7. HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

the problem is that the panthers have no RUNNING game to open up the air game... and your WR core is depleted... anyone who blames Delhomme is retarded... he isnt a miracle type qb, he cant make plays out of nothing ie mcnabb/vick/Big Ben... he is a simple qb that knows how to play his role... a good Role Player... but when the superstars go down he cant take the load... alot of qb's are like that... its like blaming charlie ward for not performing well if T-mac and Yao ming went down....I say he will be back to normal when the team is...

That site doesn't look too reliable. It just looks to take the talking point of any sports radio show and list it as a rumor.

The site isnt reliable but its still fun to read. :) Manning just comes off like an asshole, it would not surprise me in the least if most of his team didnt like him. When the kicker of all people turned on him that tells me something. I dont think the guy would have had balls enough to go out there on his own if that wasnt the general feeling in the locker room. He will fall apart when they cant resign his allstar recieving core.

Your yearly implosion started with the Giants last season, bucko, don't forget.

From undefeated 6-0 to 9-7 all triggered by a loss to the mighty 4-12 Giants.

To settle this we should play ESPN when I get home. Not Madden because I am terrible at it. ;p
