Stepan managed to accomplish the somewhat rare feat of scoring a hat trick with three different types of special teams goals (SHG, PPG, EN). This is the first time the Rangers have had players score hat tricks in consecutive games since Gartner and Graves did it in '94.

This is the first time the Rangers have won 8 in a row since 1974-75. Henrik Lundqvist now has a personal 7 game winning streak, tying his career high. The Rangers are now 13-4-2 in their last 19 games, and they are 11-2-1 vs. the Metropolitan division (11-0-1 in their last 12).

Two more games in 2014. Monday in Dallas and then New Years Eve for Slats' regularly scheduled NYE vacation in South Florida.
