Do you guys think he will play for the Leafs next season? My feeling is they'll give him a test run at least to see if he can make an impact, but likely keep him in the AHL for most of the year.

I know it's not a popular opinion but I don't mind the "best of Europe's rest" team since it just means there will be one more quality team in the tournament. I'm sure those countries won't be too happy about it though.

but the junior team is just stupid, I don't think that's a remotely good idea

It all sounds stupid to me.

For me this bumps it down to the number four slot when it comes to international men's hockey:

1. Olympics
2. World Championships
3. Euro Hockey Tour
4. World Cup of Hockey

Hopefully we'll still have the Olympics.

The future is bright for the first time in over a decade. We are still a few years away from even having a window but it all begins now.

I've been watching Jets games recently.
They are an exciting and charismatic team. Have always liked Buff ever since he destroyed the Canucks, but he's found another level. Pretty awesome.

For the rest of this season, I'm a Jets fan.

Okposo scored 4 goals last night? So that's Okposo, Perreault, and Backes with 4 each this year. I can't remember the last time it's happened that often.

Also, Tokarski in tonight. Not surprising, hoping we don't get embarrassed by the Islanders.

DD officially back at center lmao Therrien is such a fucking retard, Weise is on the top line with Patches and Pleks too. Bergevin needs to trade DD so he can't be used. At least he's not back with Patches.

On one hand, I like the idea of Subban and Beaulieu playing together. On the other hand, Gonchar is way too old to be on a top pairing. Who was the Philly fan saying Therrien wasn't that bad? Well Weise is on our top line and Gonchar on our top D pairing.

Zac Rinaldo had more ES ice time in our last game than the league's top scorer. Berube makes Therien look like a genius.

How's Gonchar been for you guys? He was playing top pairing minutes in Dallas and I guess that didn't workout too well for him.

He's been decent, but that's partly because he's playing with Beaulieu. He's playing 20 mins a night, Therrien needs to take it down a notch or he'll having nothing left for the playoffs.

Patches is 2nd in ES goals since 2011-2012 and 37th in PP goals since then. Unreal, too bad our PP has been a limp dick for 3 seasons now.

I like him. I think he and Nathan worked really well. Sure he's old but experience still helps.
