That's some fancy guitar work, and a well written song. I was hoping for it to get more aggressive, would have liked to hear a heavier take on that melody, but otherwise great stuff.

The World is was good, but maybe a little long. Good stuff though, nice trade offs with the male and female vocals.

Brand New...eh I couldn't sit through all of that one. It had the worst stuff I usually associate with emo, that kind of 'bleak is my soul' lyrics make me cringe to listen to.

Really though, three out of four is not half bad.

Didn't see the original post but I love sunny day.
Diary is a great album. Another band in that same time period and overlooked was HUM. Check out Stars and The Pod by them.

Wat? At the drive in is emo :lol :lol

I'd say any genre snobs should probably stop trying to categorize bands and pigeon hole them into a sub genre, or worse a sub-sub genre. Which is exactly what emo is, punk rock>hardcore>emotional hardcore(emo)> screamo etc...

It's silly to write off stuff other people call emo, just simply because of your personal affiliation with the genre.
