He was drafted 7th overall in 2009 by the Leafs. Born and raised in London, Ontario. He is of Lebanese descent (just like me! Although I'm half Lebanese and half Iranian), but I don't know if he's Muslim.

He went back to the OHL (junior league) for the 2009/2010 season and developed there. Starting in the 2010/2011 he has been developing in the AHL with the Marlies, Toronto's farm team. He has been called up sporadically but has been inevitably sent down to the Marlies after every call-up.

He was called up since yesterday though. He had two goals and a shootout goal yesterday and he's in the lineup tonight.

Nas is a practicing Muslim, yep.

He's always been on the cusp of making the roster, then he ends up getting sent down. One of the things the coaching staff wanted him to do was bulk up when he was drafted. Then he had to work on his defensive game. Then just getting some games in the AHL. I think he's just about ready to be a permanent roster player, barring any setbacks in his development.

Everytime he got called up, you do notice improvement in his game, so Dallas Eakins and his staff is doing good things down with the Marlies. For his latest call-up, Eakins actually suggested that him and Hamilton get the call, so you know they have confidence in him.

I wasn't just making the assumption because of his ethnicity i read on wikipedia (I'm just trying to learn more) he's muslim but he's never been made fun of or had any problems. Do they have any other good offensive prospects?

They don't have any elite offensive prospects, but my favourite ones are Brad Ross (drafted 43rd overall in the second round in 2010) and Tyler Biggs (drafted 22nd overall in the 1st round in 2011).

I sometimes dream of Ross becoming another Tucker and Biggs becoming another Lucic.

Off the top of my head for a few prospects you could look up that look to have some promise:

Joe Colborne, Brad Ross, Tyler Biggs, Greg McKegg

Out of those 4; Colborne is the closest to coming up soon (within next 2 seasons potentially)

On D we have Jesse Blacker, Korbinian Holzer. Not sure how far Blacker is from the league but Holzer is close to making the lineup.

It'll have to be Zetterberg willing the team to win, but they're gonna troll us. It's also quite sad that every time we get a penalty, you just know the other team is gonna score. Wings have 0 for 2 on the PK tonight and I think that drops their PK % below 80 now.
