What is it with Joe Thornton's ex-linemates?
So for those who picked Dragon Age as their GOTY? Do you need to have played the other two to continue any story (like Mass Effect), or understand fully what is going on? I have never played another Dragon Age but I may want to give this a shot with all the good impressions.
Read a quick primer on the backstory (or watch this) and you'll be fine.

I want that 2nd round draft pick back. WE GOT FLEECED
Not quite sure what happened to him. He was always a little lazy but seems like his work ethic just plummeted after we traded him.Setoguchi on waivers. Yeesh, quite the fall for him.
Helm-Datsyuk-Weiss
Anyone have a gif of Drew's goal from last night? I didn't see it and my friend was telling me to check it out.
That whole line will get injured tonight.
Backes and Tarasenko were in a battle drill. Backes took exception and dropped gloves. He and Tarasenko argued after broken up. #stlblues
When do the Tarasenko is bad in the locker room narratives start?
Kontiola signed with a KHL team.
Shame it didn't work out
from what I hear based on his time with the Marlies, he has top 6 NHL skill. Just can't skate.
Yep.Not a Top 6 NHLer then.

very perceptive
I'd say hockey IQ is the most important skill a player can have. It's what allows older, immobile players like Markov and Gonchar remain successful. Markov is so slow, but one of the smartest players in the game and it's what keeps him going.
Reminds me of StalbergI can get behind this.
To put it simply: you could be a fast skater, and be an absolute dumbass on the ice.
Pretty much. If you can anticipate the play and are always aware of the what's going on around you, then you don't need to be the fastest guy on the ice. There's a lot of players with above average skating / strength / etc who rely purely on those skills and quickly find themselves out of a job in the NHL.I can get behind this.

Bourque, Pouliot, Kostitsyn, Latendresse....Rene Bourque. Built to play hockey, terrific shot, pretty decent skater, dumb as a rock.
Drew Da Gawd!
Edit: The Oilers and Kings talks have been around for a few weeks. It involves Clifford.

do the Oilers have any good defensemen?
...
wait, no, of course they don't.
Justin Schultz. He was too good to play for Anaheim. Chose Edmonton instead.
LOL
One of these young goalies they trade for will work out eventually, right?Oilers have had interest in Robin Lehner, according to Dregger.
Lol Ok

I always laugh when people say a player isn't skilled, "He's just lucky and always in the right spot". I know a guy who says that about Crosby all the time. This is what I refer to mainly as the "right place at the right time" skill.
Elliot is injured. Are one of the Blues goalies injured?
