I know, but bottom line is that Republicans now control both house&senate. It'll now be an even bigger clusterfuck of amendments against ANYTHING attached to bills about ANYTHING. Let's re-instate don't ask don't tell while we're at it.

Especially in Canada, when there's essentially nothing that separates the 2 parties that will win most of the seats in next year's election (sorry NDP).

The big fuss made over the Senate has really been just a lot of noise. It's mostly just a prize to wave around in their big dick waving contest. With Obama in the White House and without a veto-proof Republican supermajority in Congress, Washington is mostly just going to be jerking off for the next two years until a new (most likely Democratic) president is elected.

The important results were in the state legislatures and governors' mansions, as well as the ballot initiatives like the increased minimum wages in states like Nebraska, Arkansas, and Illinois, the successful marijuana legalization initiatives in Oregon and D.C., and the failed attempts to soft ban abortions through "personhood" initiatives.

yeah not much is gonna change unless Republicans win in 2016. Which I kind of hope happens for the ensuing party implosion.

Here (Oregon), probably will take a good while before it rolls out. They aren't fucking around either, they're trying to turn it into an industry like Colorado rather than simply strip it of criminal charges.
