I saw someone on Twitter mention this, but a possible reason why the Senators have lost their home games and won on the road is that when Boucher gets the last change, he's starts playing chess against himself. Like if yesterday's game was on the road, Karlsson would have started that OT because Guy wouldn't have gotten the matchup he wanted, so might as well just put your best player on the ice.
The best thing Bryan Murray did in his career was calling out that idiot during an interview. I don't remember the exact words but essentially it was " You are no James Duthie " to Darren Skunk Jay Leno Millard while he was interviewing him.

If Boucher was coaching the Leafs, Mathews will probably be on a 4th line getting 9 minutes of ice time cuz of vets and 'reasons'.

I wasn't discounting Boucher's penchant for veteran players over younger ones. I mean, it's plain as day that this is the case, but there's also a case to be made that Boucher seems to overthink things and doesn't like putting his best players against the other teams best players even when ours can outplay theirs.

Seems premature to say he cant develop talent. Dzingel, Claesson etc seem to have done well under him.
Id lay the blame more on the GM for signing fringe players like Blowmoreturdowiecki preventing anyone else from getting a spot. Theres never any real roster spots open after training camp in Ottawa. I mean we finally got rid of Neil. I think Boucher will bench the shitty players toward the middle of the season. Hes not like MacLean who would have Chris Neil out there at key moments and never would dare bench him.
I may be wrong but comparisons to his time in Tampa arent accurate as he didnt have any talent there outside of Stamkos.
