It's a crapshoot. I saw a photo today of Lecavalier and Richards from the 98 draft where they were taken 1st overall and 64th overall. And they basically had the same career. In between them were 40 guys you never heard of.

Neal has been on a 40g pace the last few seasons and at a $5m cap hit. That's pretty valuable. Hornqvist will probably put up at least 60p a season in our top six and Spaling will definitely help our bottom six but that's still not a great return. It's not a disaster but we definitely didn't "win" that trade.
