I think I get what he was trying to say. But
the way he said it came out wrong.

I think we all know deep down that Therrien wants Galchenyuk to succeed it's just up to Galchenyuk to prove to Therrien that he can be the guy and I think he did that last night.

4th ain't so bad considering there isn't much consensus talent outside of the top 3. Even if it's very unlikely, getting bumped to the 7th pick isn't too big of a deal. Habs will probably trade something silly for Dubois anyway.

As for rookies that might snag a roster spot, I think Ollie Bjorkstrand is the favorite. Maybe more if they can buyout guys like Boll or try their little hearts out to trade any mix of Hartnell, Tyutin, Campbell. But I have zero faith in anyone snatching those guys, even for table scraps.

MacKinnon wouldn't have been able to play in the playoffs, kind of glad we didn't shit our way in. Minnesota has the lowest point total for a playoff team in a while, if that happened to us I feel we wouldn't deserve it. Though if Minnesota makes a dent in the playoffs more power to them I suppose.

I'm sorta on the Dubois train, but yeah whatever. Anyone in that 4-9 range will be good.

My preference would be to trade down, and I imagine the F/O's as well, but you need to actually find a willing trade partner with the right assets to make it work.

So Laich and Greening are probably locks to be around next year. Which other vets stick around? Michalek and Lupul might get Robidas'd. Bozak might get traded.

I forgot about Komarov lol. Yeah he'll be back. I don't think it's crazy to keep Bozak but there are going to be a lot of players competing for jobs and quite a few Marlies will deserve it. Bozak just seems like someone who is both tradeable and expendable.

Anywhere from 4 to 8 probably

If he doesn't go to the leafs, I hope he goes to the habs or sens for that sibling rivalry.

Only way Ass Nylander is going to Montreal is if Dubois is gone by then.

I honestly haven't seen any media clamoring for Dubois or any prospect in particular, but that's also mostly the Anglo media I follow. I don't know if guys on L'Antichambre want him, but it doesn't seem like there's pressure to do it like there was with Leblanc.

So Habs draft 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th.

I almost wish we'd draft 12th because that would mean 3 teams with lower odds than the Habs would luck out and fuck over Toronto and Edmonton.

2 of those guys on the current roster, along with Gallagher who was on pace for a 30 goal season, best goalie in the world and a top 2 defenseman. There's a special core on this team, Bergevin needs to give them the support to go for it next season.

EDIT: Also, some people have mentioned the Leafs trading down but I don't think they will do it this time. They have 12 picks this year. Last year they had seven picks before the draft trades (9 altogether). I don't think that will be the case.
