Didn't the PS4 and Xbox 360 also sell really well, or is the Switch outpacing those two? Don't remember there being significant supply issues for either but maybe I'm mistaken?
I've been interested in buying one for a few months but its sold out whenever I open up Amazon D:

Toshiba can't keep up with memory demand. The only way it gets better is if Samsung starts making it as well, and that may happen sometime this year.
Apparently there are going to be huge restocks this week to coincide with Splatoon 2 launch, so hopefully it'll be easier to find soon
I read somewhere that the Switch is outpacing them but i dont know the numbers or anything.

I would believe this. I just waltzed in to an EB when I worked in Guelph and picked up a Neon the day before MK8D came out, but didn't find anything weeks leading up to that.

Yeah, it's just more than I want to spend right now. It would wind up being close to $600 once you factor in Splatoon, the Switch and taxes.
You should have preordered Splatoon 2 during the E3 sale for $50 like I did before I even bought a Switch.

Switch had a better first month in the US than PS4 had I think. Since then, I'm not sure. I do think lack of availability is a huge factor, PS4 somehow outsold Switch in June in the US and I'd bet it's because there just aren't enough Switches out there.

Too invested into my PS4 with all the games at this point, maybe I'll get an Xbox instead of a Switch if they aren't in stock soon enough.
