I don't really like KD, but I loved his reaction from Manning's burn during the awards. Fucking priceless. That said, I wouldn't mind him on the Knicks. Don't give me false hope, Stasis. :( RIP 1993-94 Knicks.

Not quite sure why Marvie is poking fun at attendance. Pretty sure, "We didn't go to home games because our owner wouldn't televise them!" Is the Chicago Blackhawk's bandwagon official motto. I probably hear that more than Chelsea Dagger. 🤔

I went to games. Drive 6 hours from Minneapolis to do so and had to watch garbage like Kyle Calder and Lyle Odelein but I went dammit.

Hah I read that yesterday. My favourite thing was how it says you can't judge Yak harshly for being shitty because he was on a truly awful Oilers team and they were all awful. But now that he's on a truly awful Avs team it's all good because he should have so much opportunity.

Typical off season blog, but even while I recognize how fannish and goofy these optimistic "hey this depth FA signing/trade might just come up big!" pieces are I read 'em all. Plenty of time for the harsh reality to set by November.

I don't think it says that though, I think it says that if given top line opportunities he may find his game. And at this rate, Andrighetto may end up on the top line. Seeing how Yakupov may do isn't much of a stretch.

Meh, I think it does kinda. It basically forgives Yak's poor results over the last few years on limited ice time, poor coaching, and/or lack of skilled teammates but glosses over how the Avs, an awful team last year, will be different. Just how I read it.

Again, fair enough. All anyone wants to read in July is how overpaying a kinda shitty 3rd pair dman is going to get your team into the playoffs.... somehow.



Oh fuck me twitter I just saw some articles about rats and mice crawling through cafes in New York and now I want to puke. How anyone can live in NYC at this point is totally beyond me, just leave it to the rat kings and CHUDs already. Beyond disgusting.. Patton Oswalt with the well timed "Anyone can cook!" tweet cracked me up though, I coincidentally rewatched Ratatouille last weekend.

Like a teenager in a slasher movie who can't stop staring at the approaching killer long enough to run away, I'm clicking on these other links in that story and seeing mice running over cheese in sandwich shops and giant fucking rats scrapping over garbage on the streets. What the fuck.

If anyone in NYC needs to gtfo and can't wait for the National Guard to send a chopper (which I'm assuming is happening) let us know and we can help arrange emergency shelter somewhere else.

I wouldn't say forgives is the word there, I'd say it highlights potentially contributing factors to his results, and how those factors could either be different already (with the avs) or changed to produce better results.

And if anyone is interested to get into Kyary Pamyu Pamyu I recommend going in album order. Starting with Pamyu Pamyu Revolution which features such great hits like Pon Pon Pon and Candy Candy.

EDIT: But Astro you live in Finland. Us Euro's (and in my case currently using a proxy through Opera browser to act like I'm in the Netherlands) have access to Sheena Ringo on Spotify (so sorry to all of you in NA). You should jump into her album Kalk Samen Chestnut Flower. US people should just go for torrents cause her label seems to hate the US or something.

By the way, I saw two hockey fans in Ohare when I had a layover last week: a kid in an Edmonton shirt doing the robot in the food court and a lady wearing a Blues Stastny jersey.

Cannot confirm if either of them made it out alive.
