That rumour came from Damien Cox, who added:Wasn't there a rumour the Sens wouldn't include Ceci in a trade for Drouin? lmao
Drouin was also still in his disgruntled child phase.Theyre 29th in team defence, theyve got lots of issues on the back end, they now know that Mikael Wikstrand, the Swedish defenceman, hes not going to be back, so right now Ceci is a blocking point. Also, Ottawa is at their budget limit, they cant really add a whole lot in terms of salary.
About the fantasy league:
1. Weekly Head to Head match-ups for stat categories
Skaters: G, A, +/-, PPP, SHP, Hits, PIMs
Goalies: W, GAA. SV%, SO
Each category counts as a win/loss at the end of the week. i.e. if I had more Goals, +/-, PPP, W, and GAA than my opponent I would get 5 wins and 6 losses. Ties can happen as well!
2. Rosters:
2 C
2 LW
2 RW
4 D
2 G
1 IR
4 BN
3. You can do up to 3 roster moves per week. 20 (tentatively) for the course of the season. Trades capped at 5.
4. Manager trade veto'ing is on. So managers can veto Creeper from trading Subban for Weber. You'll have 1 day to weigh in on a trade.
5. Yahoo has a "Can't Cut List". That's staying on so you can't drop Crosby (they generally allow it when a player gets a long term injury though).
6. Trade deadline is March 1, 2018.
7. No "playoffs". Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins.
8. Most importantly: LIVE DRAFT - Sunday, October 1 at 1:30 PM EST
Draft is done in a snake order. If you are not able to attend, Yahoo will draft best player available based on their pre-draft rankings. You can also edit your pre-draft list if you want to go off the board.
New page, so a reminder that there's a GAF Fantasy League starting up. Entropia is running it. There are currently 12 spots remaining.

And, here're details about the league:

and loses it more than he gets it back
You're "worried", bones?? Got some affection left in that empty husk?
30-50 points is a huge range, so agreed. I'm expecting 25/15 if he's healthy all year. Pretty optimistic but I think he can do it. While better competition will be an issue, I'm more concerned about his linemates. But so far he seems to have a knack for creating offense on his own.
If Boeser sees time in the top 6 then yes, facing top D-pairings and shutdown lines will be a challenge.
I can see success for him on the third line, though. Shelter him a bit 5-on-5 and use him as a trigger-man on the power play.
Baertschi-Horvat-Eriksson
Sedin-Sedin-Granlund
Vanek-Sutter-Boeser

Positive thoughts Dopey, only count the positives, including only positive possession events.
When you have 18 assists on a line with a guy that scored 40 goals and a guy that scores 22 I wonder if the chemistry is overblown.
I get the "puck retriever/digger" logic, I just want to see the top line fly

This is exactly what I want to see. Sedins and Granlund were fire and Horvat I feel needs more time rounding out his game as our second line centre. Here's what I'd like to see (though the D pairings are a shot in the dark):
Sedin-Sedin-Granlund
Baertschi-Horvat-Boeser
Vanek-Gagner-Eriksson
Dorsett-Sutter-Burmistrov/Gaunce/Virtanen
Edler-Stetcher
Hutton-Tanev
Gudbranson-Del Zotto
I'd much rather see Gagner between Boeser and Vanek than Sutter. He might be slow, but at least he has the offensive creativity necessary to keep up with Boeser (not to mention distribute the puck to two players who like nothing more than to score goals.) That said, I think Boeser needs to play with guys who play a young-style of game: Baertschi and Horvat.

Goldobin and Virtanen in Utica
Maybe a bit of wishful thinking with that topline, but I think it could work.
On paper, the nucks are probably not the worst team in the league, and Arizona is gonna have a shit ton of prospects playing more minutes this season, they also added 4 NHLers this summer for basically nothing. Which leaves Colorado and Vegas...

While it'll probably be Vegas, Vancouver, and Colorado at the bottom, I think Florida is also making a good run at being the worst team in the league.
Vegas are undefeated though

Remember the last time the Vegas Golden Knights lost in their whole franchise history?

Because of his play in the AHL?I dont have delusions of playoffs but the core is too good to be the bottom (barring injuries) Barkov, Trocheck, Huberdeau, Ekblad will be healthy. Dadanov is looking good and McCann is earning a spot. D is still fine and new coach has a good system. Coaching and general ineptitude around the FO when Tallon was away killed last season. League wide I got them 18-22.

He wasnt very good in the AHL. Hes been performing in camp so far, nearly a lock for a roster spot.

Yes it's just stats but it doesn't make me feel good giving up a lot for Duchesne.
I bet Menyk is demanding for it just like he wanted Gary Roberts which means Dorion's ass is fired if he can't make the deal
Dreger- "I believe that Guy Boucher likes Matt Duchene. I believe that Guy Boucher wants Matt Duchene." #Sens
