Not if Bergeron is done, B's are a different team without him.We know this situation from 2011. Nothing is over yet. I'm still very confident that we will get the cup.
This really is true. If Toews returns on Monday, Boston will be at a huge disadvantage. Not if Bergeron is done, B's are a different team without him.
I was very surprised by Soderberg tonight. I thought he had a good game. Nothing spectacular, but he made the smart plays all night long.
Easier written than done...We know this situation from 2011. Nothing is over yet. I'm still very confident that we will get the cup.
Disagree. Losing Bergeron will be a big blow, but It's up to the defenseman at this point. If Chara and Seidenberg don't get their shit together it's over. The issue I think is fatigue with those two. They have slowed down as the series has gone along. Not if Bergeron is done, B's are a different team without him.
Bergern is the Bruins best forward by far and is the backbone of their defense and offense. The only way they beat the Hawks without him is if Toews is out for the Hawks as well.Disagree. This run Lucic went on in the playoffs almost made me forget how fucking terrible he has been for 90% of the season. Went back to the old ways. I really hate the way he plays most of the time.
If you build it, they will come. American hockey needs the national exposure of the Olympics. When the American team does well it brings more fans to the sport.Oh Marvie I want in on the pre-Sochi podcast. So much trash to be talked, just please don't include any of those weirdo US hockey fans who "can't get into" international hockey because their favourite player is from Europe or Canada. They are just the worst.and so often have a Crosby sweater but don't live in Pittsburg
The last event of the Vancouver games turned into one of the biggest (non-N.F.L.) sports events in recent television history. The Canada-U.S.A. gold medal hockey game was seen by a huge audience of 27.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched hockey game on American television since two games in the 1980 games from Lake Placid, headed by the famous U.S. upset over the Soviet Union.
And the number of Canadians who watched some portion of the game hit 26.5 million, aboot 80 percent of the population.

It was also huge around the world. My friends in Madrid that couldn't speak English know who Crosby is from following the Olympics. If you build it, they will come. American hockey needs the national exposure of the Olympics. When the American team does well it brings more fans to the sport.
Not to be outdone, Canada; of course, put up insane numbers that year:

Rumor is Bergeron has a spleen injury. Not officially confirmed or denied.
That's pretty impressive. The Vancouver Olympics was the best hockey tournament of all time imo, just incredible play and awesome games all the way through. Let's hope Sochi is comparable.
No supplemental for Boychuk.

He grabs Horton's stick and falls down. I'll call that a pretty good dive. (was also called embellishment on the play, so w/e)
Not an even trade off. Horton is the better player and the Bruins were already down a forward in Bergeron.
If he doesnt pull the stick, I don't think there is any penalty called.
That's a big if... I like the Bruins at home with or without Bergeron. Not sure what the Bruins have left. Their physical play and tight defense aren't working against the Hawks.
If Crawford plays like he did in Game 5 the Hawks will win the Cup.
:lol How has your neck not snapped with those massive homer goggles strapped to your face? That's a big if... I like the Bruins at home with or without Bergeron.
Agreed. They've won games without him before, but it'll be tough. Just seems like seven games is a given.I like the Bruins at home with or without Bergeron.
