4K downsampled to 1080p, to be more precise. Looks very clean of course. :)

Good to see that the port isn't bad (although it could be better).

It's really... not the best looking game. Even at 4K and with AA. It looks little cleaner compared to PS4 Pro but still ugly.

I am so sad :(
I think this is a poor port guys. Really. Ok, my specs are not high as expected, at least not the GPU (940m, 2GB), but I'm getting 10fps with graphics options in LOW quality. I can play games like MGSV with medium-low graphics at 40~60fps. Saddly I'll need to refund the game. Im so sad coz I was very hyped to play :(
MGSV is a PS360 game lol

Anybody know what's going on with the vsync? I turn it off because I have a gsync monitor but I still see screen tearing in some areas.

Played for an hour at 4k fullscreen (all settings high, 2x AA). No crashes and it didn't drop below 60 fps, but there were frame pacing issues. Fortunately using Borderless Fullscreen eliminates that problem. Seems good to me!

Just popping in to ask a question: are the cutscenes that look pre-rendered just that? What's up with them running at like 20fps at times? Is this something on my end or are they like that for everyone?

Otherwise it runs fine with a 970 at 1440p, pretty sure it's holding a locked 60fps with medium settings at all times.

Don't run game in borderless windowed mode, it tanks fps even more.

I actually tend to have better luck running things in borderless windowed than regular windowed, and have rarely had to resort to using regular fullscreen! I tried running it anyways and it only made a 3-4 FPS difference on average.

Glad to see that arbitrary resolution support seems to be in. Are resolutions above 4K supported?
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would crash when I tried to run it at anything higher than 5760x3240 (modded) and Transformers: Devastation only supported resolutions up to 3840x2160.

Runs well enough, but I seem to be experiencing the same thing I did with Metal Gear Revengeance. The game seems to be skipping a frame or 2 every other second, causing stutter. Not all the time, but consistenly every 2 seconds or so. Seems like a timing issue. Small thing, but annoying as fuck.
This is the problem with games that have a hard 60 FPS cap on some displays.
I had the same problem with MGR:R, Metal Gear Solid V, and Dark Souls 3 too.
I think the issue is that my TV must run at something slightly higher than 60Hz, so that forces there to be a dropped frame every few seconds.

With MGS:V I was able to eliminate the stutter completely by unlocking the framerate via the config files and then enabling V-Sync in the driver.
With MGR:R and DS3 I had to run the game in windowed mode and set my display to 59Hz since FSE automatically selects 60Hz. Then it would sync at ~59 FPS and run smoothly.
I really need to get a G-Sync display.

The more and more I play PC games (at least modern ones) the more I wonder if fullscreen should even be an option. Borderless window seems to fix so many issues in so many games.
In the majority of games running in Fullscreen mode works a lot better than Borderless for me, the only issue is the slower alt-tabbing. (which is getting faster in Windows 10)
I hate when games don't have a true full-screen option.
Windowed mode was a disaster before Windows 10 too. They've made a lot of improvements.

So having to play windowed, DSR is out of the question?
You can use DSR in windowed mode games, but most require you to manually change the desktop resolution.

i7 2600 + GTX 1060 here. Running at medium preset and 1080p, and it runs alright overall. Occasional drop to 50 during hectic scenes, or entering new areas, but doesn't persist enough to be a bother. Gonna keep playing for a bit, but I'll be back later when I mess with some settings.

EDIT: Also, mouse input is smoothed as hell. And no simultaneous gamepad + mouse (which SUCKS, because I can tell this game would work great with the SC).

Looks to have the same mgr refresh rate issue in fullscreen that i have (30hz indtead of 60)

6600k
16gb ddr4
1060 6gb
Win 10 14393

Borderless is fine with BG
Oh come on....that was such a ridiculous bug in MGR that they never fixed and they still have that problem? Ridiculous.

So am I not gonna get 1440p60 maxed out settings with a 980Ti and 3770k and 16GB DDR3? I'm fine with FPS dips cause I got gsync.

Yep, it's running < 1080p for me too even when set to 1080p. Tried a few things. Broken aspect ratio. Screws up my desktop after exiting due to not actually running in 1080p.

So... guess I'll be refunding. What with my new VR setup I was fairly unlikely to play a lot of this right now anyways.

Have you tried Windowed mode? As fhose running in Fullscreen have experienced that issue.

@ JaseC it might be worth noting this issue briefly along with the recommended borderless windowed tip since it mightn't be apparent to those reading the OP for the first time.

That's an error with big picture mode, not the game. But it seems that the game crashing is what caused the issue. Perhaps disable the steam overlay and don't use BPM. See what happens. I expect the game will still crash, but at least you rule steam out. At that point I'd consider changing settings or looking for an ini if you can't get that far
Tried running it without BPM and it crashed again in the same spot.

2gb vram just doesnt cut it nowadays. mgs5 is very well optmized and runs smoothly but its hardly a good looking game. u can run mgs5 at those frames with a worse gpu.-

Sounds similar to PS4 Pro performance with that setup.

i7 2600 seems a little old, if it's dropping frames on loading new areas perhaps it's a CPU bottleneck? Or am I just talking out my ass?

Ya throw this in the OP.

You can acknowledge that it might only be certain configurations that are effected by the full screen bug, but Borderless windowed seems to fix the issue ubiquitously.

Yeah I definitely don't want to run Windowed or even Borderless Windowed. Using 3rd party fixes not my style either, so unless they fix it won't be rebuying on PC. If no fix comes will pick it up when it's $20 on PS4...

Mentioned it earlier, there's something off about some of the cutscenes for sure. Not sure if that's the general way they are, or a specific problem.

Do you happen to have a gsync monitor? I'm also at 1440p.

DS4Windows doesn't want to work with this for me for whatever reason. Seems to work just fine in every other game, but Nier just doesn't accept input from the controller.

Just needed to bitch because between Steam decrypt and this nothing is working aaaaaaa

I'm getting super low FPS (20ish) when using windowed mode, even with that borderless app. Full screen gets me rock solid 60.

Hmm, Steam overlay doesn't get fucked up in Windowed mode. Since it's not an option in-game, how do I force a Borderless Windowed mode with Nvidia's options? The Nvidia Control Panel brings up nothing.

So yeah. Getting the issue where it's forcing my 1080p TV display into 1080i on fullscreen while also not actually being 1080 and fullscreen (black border around the screen, steam fps counter displaying in the little window that should be the fullscreen).

Going to try the borderless window program thing. I never had issues with Metal Gear Rising. At least I can't remember, dunno if there was a trick or fix I implemented for that or not but I have no issue playing that on my 1080p TV.

hate how my screen goes black after changing every single graphics option.

and yea i have 1080p selected but it clearly isn't...going to see about the GPU settings stuff.

same issue on my GTX 1070, it seems to be related to the full screen mode. Aspect ratio seemed off in the Steam overlay too, but when I took a screenshot via Steam it actually was rendered in 1920x1080.
weird issue

Borderless Windowed usually adds latency which I don't like. That's the case right? It's triple buffered, isn't it?

(I figure small problems arising within 2 minutes bodes very poorly for the rest of the game -- don't want to run into an issue 3 hours in)

Really don't understand why I'm getting nothing above 45fps even on lowest settings with a 1060. Is my PC just fucked or something? Seriously considering getting the PS4 version instead either way.

Weird, it works fine in my case. Have you hidden the DS4 controller? ->

Just loads a black screen with music after the computer terminal loading intro. Pushing anythng crashes the game and steam :/ Can't even get to the settings anymore/

Nvidia card with latest drivers.

Yo, seeing decent AF and texture quality for this game is a breath of fresh air.

Port seems like it'll do just fine for me @ 1080p60 with my i5-3570K/GTX1070 mix

Really wanna get this for my PC but I wish there was a demo available so I could see just how well my system handles it before I drop money on it. Computer's a little older but runs Metal Gear Rising nicely...not sure how this compares.

Seconded.
I've had it happen in a few games where it'll double up inputs because it's accepting both the emulated controller from ds4windows as well as the "wireless controller " recognized by Windows.
