So while flooded city is brought up. There is a very suspicious elevator with a robot that tries to convince you there is "nothing good" behind the door and then detonates himself.
Can you actually get in here at all?

also i should add so I don't double post. So is the implication at the end that the 3 androids 2B,9S and A2 were able to be entirely recovered? I'm pretty sure that is what the pods were talking about but they also never wake up.

There are a few of those Apologetic Machines, and the general consensus is that they're meant for future DLC.
That is indeed the implication. They don't wake up, because we're not meant to know at this point what the future holds for them. That's part of the gamble - things might not turn out well, but you have to hope.

Yes and if you get hit it says in the corner that their data has been lost. E.g.: "ramyeon's data has been lost."
And the chorus you hear as they help you is from everyone involved with the game.

You get the order to check on the access point near the crater. Do that, then you can force the rest of it to trigger by TPing into the resistance camp after. I had the same thing happen to me :T
Load the chapter after the alien revelation > clear crater access point > warp to camp seems to force it to trigger.

My guess is that it's a rotating queue. "Deleted" data is just moved to the back.
Personally, I'm fine with that. The idea that someone had to delete their own saves to let you reach the end is powerful enough.
Only weapon stories are necessary for trophies, rest you can ignore.

I think 9S's care for 2B who led to these horrible events , he cares for 2B and upload her memories till she can not handle the fact that she killing 9S all the time , if he did not upload her memories she will forget and every time she kill 9S without uploading her memories will make things way easier for her , the most human android is the resposible for all this tragedy , everything that humans are involved in is fucked up always man why are we so bad

? He says himself he isn't the original and the real one is out there somewhere making clones. The weapon head story say clones are appearing at least 500 years after the Automata takes place so either the clones can make clones too or he's alive.

I personally think that if you've got no knowledge of NieR at all, reading up on NieR's backstory before playing Automata is a mistake.
There's a sense of mystery & intrigue on the notion of humanity that is purposeful that is lost if you've already read up and heard "oh, protagonist of first game fucked up the human race's hope of survival."
You discover bit-by-bit, through the Gestalt docs and Devola/Popola's minor drop feed of hints, a general understanding of how humanity messed up. For newcomers, reading up on NieR AFTER Automata feels like the better approach.

I'm weird in that I have like...a tiny bit of context since I bounced off the first Nier shortly after the first climax where Kiane gets turned to stone. So, I recognized a bunch of stuff like Emile and the Library and the references to Yhona.
