Nintendo 3DS Japanese Launch Thread

Doesn't the battery life suffer if you use it during the initial charge? I thought you had to charge it fully before turning it on even once.
Eh, I'm sure other people can tell you straight up, but I haven't had it on for that long until I turned it back off for straight charging.

I thought you had to drain the battery completely and then charge it all the way without turning it on. I dunno...

Seriously. My image of Japan has been shattered. Unless it's out of respect for Nintendo. No Sony allowed.

you did not see the pics of those PSPs waiting to try 3DS at that Nintendo event while Miyamoto was looking down like ceiling cat?

It has been confirmed that it does use anti-fingerprint coating. The demo units you see just don't have them wiped away clean.

I know, but it's still an issue. Blue is superior becasue you don't have to deal with that shit.

I probably wont be getting my 3DS for months and im not really interested in the launch lineup and yet i still get excited reading about people getting one.

This is why i always end up buying at launch with nintendos consoles, damn im a sucker.

Definitely wont be getting black, i think i prefer every other colour i've seen.

Is someone gonna buy a PSP in those lines :p

like some people do in America, i remember seeing someone wait in line on the Wii launch just to buy a 360.

:( i'm so jealous and envious , i want it now!

lol Yeah, I remember I put a pocket full of a few GBA advance games through the wash and they came out fine, sans the labels. Never spilled anything a system though. Don't plan it, either... I keep drinks way away from any kind of tech other than a keyboard.
My copy of Advance Wars DS, suffered the washing fate just 2 weeks ago. It came out perfectly fine, even the sticker.

PSP owners are already playing a better looking Ridge Racer game for five years, and they have monster hunter!.

They obviously aren't intrested on that shitty device!!.

:lol

Hahaha I saw the cropped version of Miyamoto. Had no idea he was above the lines. God that's hilarious.

Man, damn, I'm so excited for this. I really haven't been this excited for a system since the N64, or PS1. I really hope they bring out some amazing games for it. Super Mario World sequel for 3DS Please!!!

Nope - Lithium Ion batteries don't need to be "taught" about their charge or anything. All you have to know about them is, they prefer to never be completely discharged - with Lithium Ion it's always better to charge early (doesn't hurt anything) than to let it run out. In fact many systems (like the iPhone) shut themselves off before the battery goes totally dry.

Will probably pick up SM64 DS again for this given slide pad confirmation :D My N64 is still out, but I rarely bother to plug it in. With SF and OOT, these three games will pretty much mean I'm set, save for the rare occasion I want to play Ogre Battle or Mischief Makers or something. I'm very pleased. Edit: OR Majora's Mask or any other gem I forgot so I don't get quoted :p

I don't think the slide pad would work the way you want to on SM64.

Ah, had no idea. Still, I hate the N64 pad, so it's probably worth a ten dollar gamble to see which I prefer. Thanks for the heads up, though.

Edit: quoting this question for the new page:
