I'm not saying it's a bad review, just giving everyone love for Layton, four 8 is a little disapointing, just look at all those 9 and 10 from SSFIV, Nintendogs+cats and even Samurai Warriors! In the charts prediction thread Layton is the second 3DS game, and it only has the 4 to 7 best review from Famitsu!

Yeah, gonna need more explanation than that. Does it run badly? Does it have horrible load times? Is it rubbish because it's a Warriors game (in which case it's not rubbish to me at all) or is there something especially off about this version?
I know Famitsu scores are not something to take stock in but they generally don't rate software that's broken in some way with high scores. And I'd say 9,9,8,8 is a solid score.

By the way, Nintendogs kind of deserved perfect 10s, judging by how massively popular it was and how it still remains in like the top 10-20 best selling games of all time. It was pretty well-built, had a decent amount of content and had very broad appeal.
