For anyone on the fence the New 3DS is a really nice machine. Went from a regular 3DS XL to the smaller "New" model when the Pokemon bundle release and have been more than happy with it; finally a system that feels just about as good as the DS Lite did in my hands.

The last batch of Nintendo Selects included Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. I went to my local Walmart and saw they had the game that wasn't the Selects version and got it for the same price. I don't know if that's normal or not but I was glad to get the title without that awful border. I hope to do the same with Lego City Undercover.

This is my plan also. I hope this system is in ample supply, none of the hard to get bullshit. My current DS is fine but has taken a few beatings, so I want a spare because these are probably going to become rare.

Also, why won't Nintendo release the black version? Didn't Reggie once say that the white systems don't tend to sell as well in NA?

Hopefully the last one is a joke. Every version has 9 different dogs by you unlock all 27 over time.
Undercover 3DS is a very limited game compared to the Wii U version. There's almost no voice, tons of fog and super simple.objectives. I felt playing it before the Wii U version was the best way to.
They bundled it with NSLU last holiday. They should really drop it to $40 though.

Oh, I remember NSMBU is now bundled with New Super Luigi U. Nintendo is probably not going to drop the price in foreseeable time.

They know people will buy a wii u X Zelda for next year so I assume they won't drop the price ever again

So here's the thing, Nintendo Selects versions are a different sku. So if you use scan it on the Amazon app or in store the price is different.
For instance I found an original copy of Pikmin 3 at Target after the Selects version came out even though it was $90 for over a year and out of all stores.
It scanned at $40 so I showed the guy the Amazon listing for the Nintendo Selects version I was able to convince him despite the border. He asks his manager to come look but it was half an hour to closing so she said he could just let it through.
Finding a copy of Lego in the wild is going to be a challenge though.

The only Nintendo thing I need right now is a standalone Wolf Link Amiibo. I should get on that.
It will for everything since it has in the past with Selects *except* I'm not sure it will for NL since that game isn't on the eShop...hopefully this means the game returns to the eShop...the PR doesn't say either way, though.

It's the most unique Lego game in the last decade.
It still has stuff like different costumes with different abilities, breaking stuff, building stuff and collectible studs.
It's a true open world, not a hub with various levels. There's also a some unique gameplay quirks with the Gamepad.
What truly sets it apart is how great the humor is. Very, very funny. Not being tied to a movie license helps.
Chase McCain returns in Lego Dimensions but I don't think he gets a level pack.
