Nintendo announces Drag x Drive for Nintendo Switch 2 - Summer 2025

Reviving this DOA thread to make a random prediction that I couldn't figure out where else to post: I think Nintendo is going to shadowdrop this game during their June Direct.

We already know that this is a digital-only title, and that it's coming out during the summer. Plus, Nintendo has been giving it a lot of promotion recently (including gameplay highlights on the Nintendo Today app), so why don't we have a release date yet?

I think it's because Nintendo knows that it's going to be a hard sell and want to capitalize on the hype of the first post-launch Switch 2 Direct to score as many impulse purchases as possible.

they should make it part of the NSO subscription, so that they have a guaranteed playerbase

I like the NSO idea. But, i saw someone somewhere speculate that maybe Nintendo should include this in a Switch Sports 2 compilation.

The more I think about it, the more i like that idea.

Opinion: Nintendo Switch Sports was a poor attempt at Wii sports successor. The joy on did not work like the Wiimote did, and it resulted in a poor product.

Fact: In the last two years according to Nintendo. The existing game (not new release) that sold best month over month was Mario Kart 8D, second place…Switch Sports.

So there is a huge audience for Switch Sports 2, it would appear.

waggle games are BACK BABY!

As some has said, regardless bout the wheelchairs, this game has NO SOUL at all and looks like re-used assets slapped together

Plus it's just showcasing the waggle shit we all dealt with since 2007 when the Wii came

WE DO NOT WANT WAGGLE NINTY

huh? why? the Joycons have superior motion controls compared to the normal Wii Remote.
I don't know, did you play it? It was not as fun. The controls did not seem as good. Similar to how Xbox One Kinect was no where near as fun as Xbox 360 Kinect, despite being more advanced.

Hopefully this is something Nintendo can rectify with Switch Sports 2.

i don't know what to say, this game is awful : ))
it's like this is very lazy, look at the environment, the model...
seems not usual nintendo, not even fun to see

If anyone cares, game will be out on 8/14.
I really hope MP4 is September, because my voucher is only valid until then...

Damn. That probably means this + the Kirby upgrade are all we get in August, with Prime 4 in September.

I was hoping they'd go a bit stronger in month 3 to follow MK and DK.

It'd be smart for one of the major third party titles (like Elden Ring or FFVII) to drop in August to take advantage of the lull in Nintendo's release schedule, but if that doesn't happen, maybe it'll finally be time for me to pick up Cyberpunk, because I have zero interest in this.

Preorders are up on the eShop, at least they only want $20 for it.

That's a surprise. I was honestly expecting them to ask at least $29.99. $19.99 actually seems ... about right.

That said, I still think they should have shadowdropped this during a Direct to generate some hype, because even at a (relatively) reasonable price, no one seems to give a fuck about this game, myself included.

Never understood this game, imagine being crippled in a wheelchair, your only escape to normalcy is through video games and now you gotta be crippled in there too.

Outside of trying an experimental control scheme, this looks nothing like a Nintendo game to me.

$20 sounds fair and I'll be interested to see what the impressions are of it, but I doubt I'll be picking it up.
