I loved the look, but I had a OG 3rs and it wasn't comfortable to hold. I'm thinking this may have the same problem for me.
I switched from OG to normal New: even thought it's not as good as the DS lite the New is way more comfortable, expecially when using the dpad or L/R

Fucking damnit! I just two weeks ago bought a used N3DS regular for $190. I knew this would happen, I just knew it.

I JUST BOUGHT WIND WAKER HD FOR 55$ YESTERDAY

After I just bought an animal crossing n3ds. Damn you Nintendo

Damn it!!! I JUST bought Luigi's Mansion digitally yesterday for $40...

cool but man yesterday i got animal crossing for 34 dollars :(

And I just shelled out 50 bucks for a used copy of Wind Waker. Goddammit.

Argh, just paid $50 for WWHD -_-

Oh well, at least I won't have the ugly selects cover

No, I got it at a mom n pop pre-owned... like 15 hours ago, lol

Damn I just bought both AC and Luigis Mansion digital last week!!! Ugh.

I also bought a n3DSxl recently as well.... I wanted a regular but couldn't afford the price hike. Would anyone recommend downgrading or is the nXL a better device?

I just bought a New 3DS XL on Sunday... I feel like I got robbed.

Great stuff but dammit I just bought Lego city undercover yesterday for $40 at a used game store!

The feel of buying something and it immediately drops.

I haven't had that problem yet (I think). But stuff I thought wouldn't drop more has.

A new 3ds for 150? Yo that's getting real good Nintendo .

Maybe we might see another price drop at around Black Friday

Are selects brand new SKUs? I know amazon added a new listing for them last time and they were eligible for 20% off but other stores don't do that.

Yup, they are. I ordered DKTF and NES Remix around their release and got the discount.

Oh, and the Yoshi and Captain Toad Bundles are new SKUs too.

Damn, I just bought a refurbished 2DS for $70 Totally would have splurged on a New 3DS at that price. Oh well, guess I'll just stick with the 2DS and $80 leftovers.

Potentially dumb question - does the New 3DS (non-XL) have the exact same size screens as the original 3DS? I want to buy some screen protectors to throw on right out of the box and just want to make sure I buy ones that will fit the screen properly.

No, they're a little bit bigger.

Yup, hence if you find an original copy of the game in stores it won't be reduced.

I hadon't to price-match an original Pikmin 3 copy I found at Target after the Nintendo Selects version came out.

Does anyone know if the regular n3DS has the same screen wobble like the XL? Not a deal-breaker, just curious if the build was the same.

Mines pretty locked in. No wobble.

Awesome. That may have swayed me. I'm ok losing $50 on the resale if I get the console I originally wanted last month. I'm pretty confident my nXL will sell and cover the cost of the regular anyway.

I always thought the screen size was the same as OG, but it's pretty substantial when viewed side-by-side.

My XL doesn't have a wobble. I think it is random because two I returned did have that issue.

Most everything I've heard is that is should have the wobble to prevent cracking. As far as I've found the issue is related to the XL's predominantly. Either way, seeing how much bigger the regular screen is over my old 2DS swayed me.

I own 2 n3ds XLs. My launch one has a wobbly hinge with loud clicks. My more recent one has a superb, stable hinge that quietly locks positions. So there is a lot of variation. Unfortunately my more recent one also has worse color temperature settings, so colors between the top and bottom screens don't match exactly, whereas my launch one is about perfect screen wise. Both units have IPS top screens.

So, you can never really know what you'll get based on model type - things can vary greatly.

Nintendo is not good at making these things at a consistent level of quality. But eh, they're still fun as heck.

Was expecting sub-$20, left disappointed.

Sorry. I was abbreviating the original PR title. I didn't mean to be misleading. FWIW, Nintendo has never offered a full retail game at less than $19.99 AFAIK. And, once these hit $20 you should readily be able to get them for less than that new and used online.

I'm confused a bit, where can we buy these from and when?

The games themselves should be at every retailer that carry Nintendo titles (Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, etc.) the Super Mario 3D Land N3DS bundle is exclusive to Target and Wal-Mart, however.

You know what Jawbreaker means. Stop trying to be a smart ass.

Anyway, I have most of the games on here, but it's nice to see Nintendo doing so many selects. Have they historically done budget releases for so many titles before?

How much cheaper than $20 does it have to be to qualify for "sub-$20" then?

Yep, "Player's Choice" titles stretch all the way back to the SNES.

The New Nintendo 3DS that Nintendo is releasing is still a bundle, it just includes a game you're interested in and/or is at a price point you're willing to pay.
Hopefully there's a decent amount of stock for these. The last bundles sold out almost instantly in my area.

I accidentally spilled water on my LoZ Gold 3DS XL back in June causing it to short circuit. The option was either to repair it or wait for a sale to get a New 3DS XL so the price drop news is fantastic news to me.

I miss playing it so much that I will be getting a N3DS XL next month for sure along with Dragon Quest VII. Although RIP the 1K+ people that I had in my Mii Plaza. ;_;

Can StreetPass games be transferred over to a N3DS if I bought all the games including the additional ones?

Several posters have explained themselves in this thread. "Sub-$20" is expected to be something like $15. $19.99 is practically not sub-$20. Actually, with tax, the total price will be over $20. But enough of semantics.

Budget titles are awesome. I don't care that they have a different cover. I bought Pikmin 3 digitally for $42 thinking that's the cheapest it would go. I'm not even mad that a budget version came out, I'll just keep it sealed.

Good to know. Guess I'll try to preorder at target whenever they have it up.

So it doesn't have any play at all when locked into position? I thought they were supposed to have some "give" by design?
