It looks like a mini game from Fusion Frenzy that was scrapped for being too retarded.

A Rocket League clone with Nintendo's talent and aesthetic actually sounds amazing. I can't believe this is the direction they went with the concept.

On the one hand this looks ugly as hell.

On the other hand, if they tried to give it more personality, we would probably end up with a roster like this:
