Nintendo Downloads - November 2012

I have a US 3DS and am in Australia so hopefully I can help

The US store is locked to US credit cards but other regions like Canada and Brazil aren't

As someone else said Play Asia sells the cards digitally but its abit pricey. I'm sure there is a site that sells just cards like this as well as iTunes, Amazon, PSN cards but I forget the name of it.

Street Pass and what not will be fine, things like Nintendo Video and Netflicks won't, they work on your IP and won't let you use them.

And Club Nintendo won't ship to AUS, but if you hunt around you can find sites online who will help you get around stuff like this and you can get the item shipped to them and they'll ship to you. Also you can use Club Nintendo points to redeem for free downloadable titles like Marios Picross at the moment. Its not free loot but its still something.

I think the site you forgot the name is Maximu's Cards. They sell a U$$20 card for U$$23.

Ahh that's the one, cheers for that. I think they are cheaper then Play Asia, they charge about 28 for their cards

Ninja Gaiden on the VC today for the 3DS, be nice if another one of the Guild01 games came out as well but am doubtful

awesome

Huh, I'm sure I read somewhere that Ninja Gaiden was due this week, oh well looks like nothing for me until Paper Mario is out. Although that game from UFO is tempering but its UFO and I've been burned by them way too many times to give them another chance.

Wait, why's NG not in the PR?! :[

Sengoku 2? One step closer to Twinkle Star Sprites...

The lack of a game in the PR doesn't necessarily mean it's not coming, but it does look that way. We've had games released without being mentioned in the PR before.

Assuming Emily Rogers was right about Youtube, I'm starting to think it might appear at the launch of the Wii U.

Epic Mickey demo, woohoo. I doubt I'll pick it up right away.. it's coming out at a terrible time with Paper Mario and Wii U for me.. but definitely later on if it's a decent throw back to the 16-bit Disney platformers.

Yep, I'll probably grab it next year when the Q1 onslaught subsides.

Wii | Virtual Console

  • Sengoku 2 (D4 Enterprise | Neo Geo | 900 Points) Latest release!

Hell yeah, power of illusion demo. Considering impressions and reviews for Sticker Star have been mixed, it just might stand a fighting chance for my holiday money now.

It is $29.99 on amazon right now. I was gonna wait too but I used a free $5 credit and got it for $25.

"Mixed" has a really weird definition in the video game community.

It's pretty obvious that some people borderline hate the game. But if you go by the scores, you might think differently. Then again, the majority of the industry uses a 7-10 scale so that could be deceiving.

brief impressions on mickey demo

art is niiiice :)
sprites are detailled, 3d present but not invasive
sometimes sprites and text seem too small (on a regular 3ds, not tested on 3ds xl)

gameplay : good platformer, a little too much switching with the brush :
make some steps, stops, draws / undraws, repeat

note that i only played 10 minutes, the first level, and 1 min in the pirate ship due to a short lunch break ^^

Considering Fallblox is coming next week...who's gonna do the |OT|?

It's a shame we don't get gems like Angry Birds Star Wars on the 3DS/XL day and date with seemingly every other device on the planet. It is quite simply the best handheld game I've played this year. Cheap, addictive, and fun(ny) as hell. Really wish Nintendo would create relationships with these small game makers to have them on their store right when they release.

Small game maker? Rovio?
