Who even plays the likes of baseball, tennis, and pinball on the NES? For 5 dollars, no less.

In their credit, Nintendo is burning the early NES titles quickly with 2-3 every week, instead of spreading them with one title every two weeks.
Also, they have to release these games at some point. I firmly believe the Virtual Console shouldn't be a selection of games that GAF wants to play, but a gaming library that represents the whole legacy of Nintendo, regardless of quality.
I'm sure NES Pinball has its fans, it's a decent little game.Who even plays the likes of baseball, tennis, and pinball on the NES? For 5 dollars, no less.

At the least, I think every Nintendo-published title should be available (although I can forgive stuff that will have to be remade, like the Light Gun and R.O.B. games)
the Xbox One requirement is that youve not released on another platform before
Legit question: Do some people ONLY buy VC games on Wii U?
Sometimes it seems like no matter what game is released or how many games, the weekly complaints are constant.
well....
i do complain but i never got a single wiiu vc out of the .30 deal
in fact what i really want is for the vc games to become available as club nintendo rewards
I may be misremembering, but I think Club Nintendo only had one version of Intend To Buy for Wii Party U.
It's really odd they're not planning on releasing Wii Party U digital, considering having a mandatory non-Gamepad controller isn't a restriction for a game not to be on the eShop (as evidenced by the two Just Dance games already available and the upcoming Wii Fit U.
They do not have to release Super Mario World or Super Metroid or Earthbound, yet there they are. They do not. No one would miss any of this garbage if Nintendo just pretended they never existed. No one is nostalgic for NES Golf and Urban Champion. This is just Nintendo hoping that people are so starved for games that they pay $5 for shit with a smile on their face.

I could namedrop a lot more, but I'm not going to list EVERYTHING.see the problem is that you can only namedrop three amazing games to start your argument and this console is a year old. I'm not denying those, more of that please. How about Mario 64 to promote your new game since it was available day one on Nintendo's last gen offering.
The fact that some people try to defend their handling of this service is honestly disgusting.

I just don't understand the benefit of not releasing these early NES games. You seem to act like they're somehow preventing the better stuff from being released, but I see no evidence of that at all.

Note that I don't think Tozai, Square-Enix, Konami or Sunsoft have specifically indicated any sort of western releases thus far. Konami only very recently started releasing VC games in Japan (approx 1 month ago).
Nintendo so far is the only one to have released games that were not on the original Wii VC: Golf and Earthbound.
Wait. are N64 games confirmed? If so, where the fuck are they, Nintendo?!?

N64 Virtual Console games were confirmed to eventually arrive to Wii U Virtual Console many months ago (no known specifics beyond this fact, however), but keep in mind that the purpose of the list is to show what games that were initially released on the Wii Shop Channel that we can probably expect in the future from the publishers who have already been releasing Virtual Console games on the Wii U eShop.
Also, one game on that list, Spelunker, should not be on there because it has already been released as of this past June.
I could namedrop a lot more, but I'm not going to list EVERYTHING.
I just don't understand the benefit of not releasing these early NES games. You seem to act like they're somehow preventing the better stuff from being released, but I see no evidence of that at all.
I don't defend Nintendo's lousy release schedule from the last months, but look at the facts. We're getting three games this week. The past two weeks we got two. If Nintendo keeps a schedule like this for the next months then we should get rid of the early NES stuff pretty quickly. It's not like there's much of that left. I definitely expect Link to the Past on early November to promote Link Between Worlds. Super Mario Kart and Mega Man X2 should be out soon as well, since they are out in Japan. There's also stuff from Tecmo, like the Ninja Gaiden games. I just wish Konami and Squeenix to start releasing stuff already. I want Castelvania IV and Chrono Trigger.
I definitely agree on N64 games, it boggles the mind Nintendo is taking so long with those. I'm guessing there's emulation issues, but still, it's something they should have sorted out a long time ago.
Don't worry and take your time. Ace Attorney are games to savour, not rush through. Don't hesitate to play other games in-between, so as not to get burned out.
Enjoy this wonderful series!![]()
In regards to VC, my big complaint so far is that I don't see Nintendo-made VC games having net play if they were to have multi player. I really really really want net play.
