-Will it absolutely, for sure, 100% be there on Sunday morning?
-Will there be a crowd of angry soccor moms queuing to get it?

Not that I would care about either if I was going for myself, but I'll be on the road that morning and my girlfriend offered to pick it up for me.

I guess you're getting this information from me. I called a couple of times and this is what they told me. They haven't specified how many units they're getting in, but i'm going to try to get that info out of them before launch. My store opens at 8am and i plan to be standing outside around 7:30am just to make sure, unless i hear there is an overwhelming demand.

I did Target for the cube launch. The "soccer moms" had bought up every system, controller, memory card, and 80% of the launch titles (only things left were crap, but they were still buying that) at 8:05am, so I didn't get anything. I hit Jack in the Box for some quick breakfast then headed to Fry's which openned at 9 and got a cube, Monkey Ball and a Memory Card. Went home and back to sleep. Got up later and while at the Grocery Store, went to the Toys R Us next door around 3pm. They still had over a dozen of each color systems in stock.

So I don't know how big the rush will be on DS's... if you'll still be able to get them at certain places throughout the week/before xmas or what... or if you don't buy one early on Sunday morning, you're screwed through the end of the year.

i guess it depends on the area. i stopped by Target GC at 8a launch day to check out their stock. They had everything, even first party accessories for five dollars cheaper than we did. i went to work, and after we ran out of systems (which was mostly presales anyways), i directed people to Target.

Do you see how the whole girlfriend part is really inconsequential to the entire thread/situation? You would've gotten the exact information that you desired.
