Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 Hardware Price Increases are Live

Good question, and the CDN dollar has gone up
Barely. We're still in that 70 cent range.

Still, a switch in canada at the new increased price is still cheaper than the american increased price (oled for example: up from, 450 cad to 490 CAD = 355 USD, vs their new 400 USD price (550 CAD))

Price increase for your console from the previous gen is unprecedented right?

People though sony and ms were crazy for rasiing ps5/xbs prices, but nintendo out did them by doing the switch 1.
Both Microsoft and Sony has increased the prices of their consoles since their release, it's not a Nintendo issue.

well I have no plan on buying any of this shit anyway.

The truth is Nintendo knows the gaming market is stagnant and not growing. They just keep eating the same customer user base. They probably know they can't take much more of Sonys install base. They are betting that switch 1 users will convert.

General practice in electricity vs solar or gas vs electric or whatever industry. Bleed your loyal customers dry by increasing prices. Look at gamepass or psn same shit.

I don't mean to disparage people that are upset about this.

However, the way people waste money on food delivery services etc. paying $22 to have a cold cheeseburger and fries delivered to them instead of driving to get it for half the price...yeah.

These switch 2 price increases are really not that much.
