To be honest, this is 5 minutes of entry-level Photoshop/Illustrator work.
The Rabbids one looks quite good.https://twitter.com/EddytheLombax/status/818097828815900674

GoNintendo on the discussion video

I couldn't agree with the GoNintendo more the IGN guys show Nintendo/Switch in a bad light without any facts or Nintendo bad decisions in the past that have no relevance to the Switch.
I still cant get over how he said he seen it running at a lower fps when undocked.. Like, you just made that up lolI cringe whenever those people from ign open their mouths. And they actually get paid to do this stuff.

Still find it strange that none of the tech sites doing benchmarks noticed this. I kind of want to see somebody else confirming this.

Not to be a negative nancy, but I feel there's a shitstorm brewin' when it comes to the storage situation.
I got a 2TB for the PS4 hoping it would last me the entire gen, but it seems like in reality it might be the absolute minimum you need if you're going all or mostly digital. Uncharted, FF XV, Ratchet, TLG and even Bloodborne are all between 20-60GB or more when you include the DLCs and patches. And now with Horizon, Mass Effect Andromeda, RDR2 etc coming.
In a perfect world every Switch game would be extremely polished and have minimum patches, but I just don't see that happening, with games becoming more complex, the worlds becoming bigger, the expectations higher. The era of constant updates is upon the Switch, there's no doubt in my mind.
What am I gonna do with a 256GB microSD card even if I do find a good brand with a great price?
This is the calm before the storm.
They get paid to do many things. None of which involve spending as much time researching on console as we do.
Thats not true... they do get paid to research thats what journalism isThey get paid to do many things. None of which involve spending as much time researching on console as we do. It's fair to say they don't have all the facts, but they were answering a reader question. This wasn't a pre-planned full-on discussion, that's NVC.

I'm hoping to go all digital on Switch.Oh boy!
Umm yeah its not something building up as you say
We are acutely aware that storage is going to be a thing
If you're talking about the hype train images, then they've been banned for a long time now.

If you don't do the research then don't comment, people listen to these people expecting what they say to be true, it's bad journalism to make assumptions based on little to no valid information.

Gonna fucking cry if these rumours about internal storage are true. Power being weaksauce as well, but damn that storage
At first I was going to cry because I thought the games would have to install first but I forgot these were carts. I wont go digital but yeah its gon suck for people that do if the storage is really low and we have 50 some gb gamesI'm hoping to go all digital on Switch.

I honestly dont care what they think of the Switch. They could think whatever I dont care. I just think as a credible video game news outlet they should be able to discuss information accordingly, being based in facts. They have already begun to lead a misconception of the hardware because of their own ideas they believe to be true somehow. You cant pass stuff you think as true is facts. If we were talking about a dedicated article, I'd agree with you. This is a breakout video from a podcast where they discuss many things. A podcast geared towards PlayStation news. The reader question asked what their personal opinions were, that does not demand extensive research.
The biggest and most reasonable complaint here is that they shouldn't have made that a breakout video. If they left that discussion in the podcast I doubt anyone would take much note. I don't think they should have made that move, but this is by no means their stance on the Switch as an outlet.

Hype trains have been "banned" I still see them around E3 and other events for other companies. Dont make me go find them for you lol
Whats the largest game that you could download on WiiU?
I would expect games sizes to hover around that size on average
It wouldnt hurt to see larger built in storage but its so expensive in comparable tablets that Im not expecting them to push above 32GB for the basic model
Journalists making up facts whether it's on a podcast, YouTube or anywhere is bad, in my opinion it paints both IGN and those guys involved in the discussion negatively and I for one will definitely less likely to visit IGN because of it.
I can't tell if you're serious or not.
Could you resume the discovery you made in the other thread about the GPU ? I don't understand a single post in this tech mess so I need someone to make it dumber for myself.
So are we going to get some megaton leaks this week before the event?
Not to be a negative nancy, but I feel there's a shitstorm brewin' when it comes to the storage situation.
Because power doesn't matter.
I'm anti power when it means crushing the teams who can't follow.
When you see how beautiful some game on less powerful consoles can be, I don't see why it should be THE reference.
Art style go far beyond power only.
Ideas are more important than power.
Why would you really want leaks now though? We're literally a few days away.So are we going to get some megaton leaks this week before the event?

Im surprised
if any of them were Vita fans I would imagine the switch would be very attractive hardware
but its not like there arent plenty of people hating on it because its not gonna be the next Scorpio

This is my biggest concern and will likely be the deciding factor as to whether or not I buy the Switch. Not to be a negative nancy, but I feel there's a shitstorm brewin' when it comes to the storage situation.

That was pretty much my Wii U experience too. That said, it paints a pretty bleak future for the Switch if it remains the case.I've had the same worry but the thing to remember is that those huge games are typical massive AAA third party games you tend to find on PS4 / XB1. I've rocked a 500GB hard drive on my Wii U and bought every single Nintendo published game at this point and I've had no storage issues as far as I can recall. Most Nintendo games have been between 2GB-10GB, with only the odd exception like a Xenoblade being larger.
So, considering I'm unlikely to buy the likes of Skyrim for Switch and will be staying 1st party, I'm quietly confident that it won't be as big of an issue as it might be.
Their responses to reader questions are not framed as highly-researched intellectual discussion. They're quick-responses question and answer segments. As I said, I'll wholeheartedly agree that making this a breakout video gives a different impression, and they shouldn't have done that. But I'll gladly agree to disagree when it comes to responses to that section of the podcast. It is not the job of everyone at IGN to know 100% of everything that's coming out. That's why the have a team of people who get assigned to different things. That's why NVC is its own podcast.
