Yeah, if cloud saves are a thing it's going to be a godsend.
Still better shape than WiiU at launch...

Personally, i don't see anything wrong with this.

I'm not going off anything Reggie said.Reggie also said friend codes were not going to be used.
How big are saves? Some of the saves on PS4 are absurd like half a gig
Could you backup the data you put on an external Wii U hard drive on a PC?
So let's say something happens to console or you hard drive could you then take that data you put on PC and put it back on a hard drive and use it on Wii U?
No, the Wii U uses a custom HDD format so you can only ever use them on the one Wii U without reformatting them and they can't be read by a PC
Sony don't have a history of refusing to fix this sort of problem. There's still no way to get saves off of a Wii U.
Terrible, but some people will defend this...
Maybe because of games like Pokemon, they don't want people to have multiple copies for their save games. What's the point of doing something like this? How do Nintendo benefit in any way from locking saves to one system?
I'm pretty sure they confirmed a while ago that Nintendo Accounts were envisioned with cloud saves. I expect this feature to come with the system's relaunch with all the online features (and probably a major OS update, too) this fall.

I can actually play a game the same minute I launched it, that's already better than WiiU.Bro, no way. Wii U had Miiverse, Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, and Amazon at launch. I thought Wii U was very decent at launch.
Dear god! NO.Only one cloud account per Switch. =)
j/k

I was thinking, "The price of portable home console design," but did the DS tie saves to one console?
I don't see a problem.
(Oh no I am defending it!)
If you want to play at a friend's house, well that is why it is portable.
If you do not have the system yet, change that. If your friend does not have it yet...well sorry for them.
Sadly there are alot of people who ruin things for everyone else.
I know people are chomping at the bit for the first exploit to be found in the system but that does not mean that companies have to make it that easy.

More evidence that buying a Switch now is pointless, and this thing is rushed beyond belief. Those who wait till later in the holidays will be rewarded with a much more complete system.
If my Switch breaks I can't play my save while it's being fixed? Or bring whatever save to a friends? Just kind of annoying.
Nintendo is SO BAD at this.
..he says as he waits for his Switch to arrive.

Same shit as the vita, but at least they had cloud saves from day 1.

Your system breaks and you have to get a new one - you've lost all your data.I don't see a problem.
