Watching streams has me a bit more excited but I'm still not very confident that this game has enough hooks outside of the technical achievements and wow factor.

I hope reviewers score based not only on the wow factor of the tech but how the game would be if it was just created like any other game.

I shall (mostly copy and paste from past contest) info for a No Man's Sky photo contest. Since I'll be doing it on a tablet just expect more or less the exact same rules as my other contest except I'm going to have a bigger prize as my intial contribution ($60 total instead of $30) and a longer window of the contest (1 month? Instead of the usually 3 weeks)

Maybe fuck around in Snapseed for a banner to be whipped up

Extremely excited for the game! I'm taking Tuesday off from work to enjoy it. I'm very happy for Sean and the crew. With such a long process and having so many set backs like the flood and the delays, I'm sure tonight is going to be a special and amazing moment for them.

My answer: Tame Impala, specifically the album "Currents".

Ah, I'd assume that most of the screenshots there will be creatures, vistas, space, ships, and multi-tools, rather than lore/center-related. So probably not. But I could always keep any eye out if people have concerns/complaints once the game's out

Probably so. I don't know the extent of hand-crafted content in the game, but the other alien races is the only thing that comes to mind.

Good choice. Great album, and fits. I'll offer the Sigur Rós album "Kveikur."

I wont be listening to other music until I tired of 65DOS music, but when I do, I have select songs from the Tron Legacy soundtrack.
And some favorites like Intrepidity by Evil Needle & Mr Carmack.
Will also be having a lot of songs by Lorn & Glitch Mob playing.

I couldn't wait. Ordered the PS4 version yesterday. Emailed Humble Store support about canceling my PC preorder, telling myself that I'll wait for a price drop or sale before double-dipping, but I'm weak willed and impulsive.

So I just pre-order the game today and pre-downloaded it and I just heard that for the day one patch to be active, i need to uninstall and reinstall the game when it will launch again?? That's a bummer, how will I know if at midnight tomorrow the patch will be up if I re-install it???
