The game looks interesting. I will be waiting for the reviews though.
For big patches I wish I could download them in advance. Wait for game to arrive on Tuesday. Wait for game to install. Wait for patch to download. Wait for patch to install.
Alternatively let me download the digital version entirely in advance and then unlock it when I put the disc in. Would save precious minutes which might sound silly but I might only get an hour to play it tomorrow

After almost 3 years of waiting and wondering, it's going to be surreal to actually see this game out for everyone to experience. Whether it meets the 'hype' is not really something I'm personally too concerned about, but I look forward to a game based on exploration and space travel. Be interesting to get to learn more about it once its out in the wild.

They haven't really said squat about it so far. We only know:
- It exists
- Global launch on the 12th
- The minimum requirements are "potato"
- They're adding 21:9 support
Hopefully once the PS4 version is offically out, they'll be clear of any potential Sony-related garbage that prevents them from talking about the PC version.

At least this movie gives us a sense that we will get black holes so that is going to be fun.
Ahhhh I can't wait to play this game. I've been avoiding all the spoilers, gameplay vids, streams and leaks for the past week or so just so I can go in as fresh as I possibly can.
Somebody already told me that the planets all have the same rotation speed and day/night cycle which is super depressing to hear especially in light of Sean Murray's comments on it being different per planet based on physics driven calculations prior to release. Sad to hear this didn't make it in the final game for whatever reason. Regardless I'm still incredibly excited to finally play this game and get started on making my captains log recording my journey to the center of the universe.Have I missed anything else non spoilerish that I should absolutely know before playing?

Any chance of getting a friend finder type thing going for PC and P4? SG-17 started a PSN community if you just search in communities for "Galactic Allied Federation". Would be cool to have a friends list full of people playing NMS so my galactic map is littered with friends discoveries.

They made it a point to mention that they made it easier to find another player. Oh its happening. Bounty missions? Im probably getting ahead of myself but what if I become a pirate and I wreak havok everywhere I go. Would be cool if I got a bounty on my head and people came looking for me. I knownits probably just for NPCs but I can dream.
You can scan the galaxy for friends discoveries. If you were dedicated enough I bet you could follow their trail of their most recent discovery. Bahhh I know this is wishful thinking but god damn I want this.

I got to admit I never quite got the hype for this game in particular but the patch notes adding so many core gameplay features that was missing in these pre-release copy streams sure made it a lot more interesting. It's got beautiful art too.
Gonna wait for console to release to see how it pans out before I jump on the procedurally generated PC release.
