No more updates for Cyberpunk 2077 until 2022.

The Cockatrice

I'm retarded?

They just updated the picture in the link above. It's tiny af but you can clearly see 1.31 and then nothing else until 2022.

Fucking lol

look they should take their time, but for now on no road maps, no false promises, no dates or time frames. Just release that shit when its ready

I mean the last update took like 2 months and the only new feature I can remember was the mini-map zooming out or something like that.

either they don't know WTF they are doing and are all running about like headless chickens over there in Poland

OR they are holding everything back and doing a relaunch of the game.

anyway, until then i'll just keep playing the game and having a shit load of fun. i'll replay it when they are done with patches/dlc/expansions.

I think a relaunch is likely. They did it with Witcher 1. They pretty much did it with Witcher 3. I think they like that strategy.

hope it's the latter, because if it's the former and you're announcing that the rest of the game is coming out some time within the next 18 months then you might as well shutter the company

what a money(and reputation) pit this became.
It's almost like announcing your game too soon became a curse, althoug it makes sense, you can't just reboot and change scopes once you start telling everybody what the game is before it's made.

Its more of a case of them releasing it too soon. It should have never been announced for 2020

Their only shot is relaunching in 2023 with third person mode and complete reworking of multiple core systems in the game.

The game's reputation is a complete joke and they're frankly wasting their time doing anything less than that. Should just start a different game.

remind me again how long it was already in development ? Game spent at least 8 years in development since announcement, no idea how much prepoduction it had before that.
Hardly "too soo" after 8 years...

The game entered pre-production in 2015.

What a fucking shitshow. Remember when they said the AI was in the work and would be updated close to launch? I wish i could refund this shit even if i put a lot of hours into it. In the end, the product was an early access and looks to remain that way for a while.

They have the guts to say "free patch for next-gen" ? No fucking shit Sherlock?

It's.. a couple of months.. I'm ok with it..

I've uninstalled the game for now anyway after 200 hours for my first story completion

I hope this means they are planning on doing some overhaul with the NPC AI which received the most criticism.
And hopefully we wont need to wait too long into 2022 to get the first expansion.

I still can't believe they did nothing to temper expectations for this. That was one of the biggest hype trains I've ever observed.

I mean it makes sense with the holidays coming. We're at the end of October now.

With that said. It's crazy how it's been a year and not much has changed. This studio will never live this down. Ever.

Seems like they've finally learned their lesson. Rather than rushing things, they are taking their time.

Still havnt played yet and am waiting for the PS5 version. So much other stuff to play that they can take as long as they need to get this ready.

It was always going to be a bit of a mess, but I personally feel that if covid hadn't happened they would have crunched it into much better shape.

The first trainwreck roadmap released at the beginning had next gen update in Q3 2021. That didn't happen.

But I remember there were various pointers saying Free DLC.

I didn't play the game. Did any free DLC ever release this year?

They should just shut up and keep their head down and make substantial improvements. Only start talking again when they've turned this thing around.

I hope every single company out there learns from their mistakes.

Every. Single. One.

lol who am i fooling they wont learn a thing

I bought a copy for PS4 from Best Buy while they were only $10. Can't wait to finally try this stupid thing. Most people seem to enjoy it on PC.

no amount of patches is going to fix the mess and how bad this game is, you can keep patching it until 2077 that the game will still be crap
