No more updates for Cyberpunk 2077 until 2022.

Those videos showing PS4 footage and complaining about the graphics just seem like trolling.

Game has a ton of issues but it looks amazing on a good PC.

This game is over and done with and no amount of updates are going to make it relevant in future, it will always be considered as wasted potential.

What an utter let down of a title, il be surprised if they manage to No Man's Sky it back from the brink, the share holders don't understand these things like long term planning or reputation.

Might just be tossed like EA's Anthem even after all the promises.

CDPR and Grove Street Games should team up for a brand new game, just imagine the possibilities.

Nah, put some respect on Grove Street Games name, they still released a functional game, even with the goofy looking characters lol I think the whole GTA REMAKE thing isn't even near the level of what the fuck was going with CP2077

NPC know you exist and react to you in that game, in CP2077 they don't.
You can ride trains, in CP 2077...you can't.
In the remasters clearly they still have cops and gangs that can drive cars, in CP2077, none of that shit exist.

I hope revisiting those classics reminds people just how fucked up CP2077 out here lacking 2001 features lol

They didn't do shit. They are PS2 ports for crying out loud. They moved it to Unreal Engine and turned on some inbuilt lighting

.......day 1.

I can never put this in a port area.

Putting in Unreal Engine
Putting in GTAV control scheme
Lighting, shadows, textures, different character models (for better or for worse) still put it in a remake area vs port.

One doens't define such a thing based on if you like it or not, would be like me not liking the Cape Fear remake and be like "its a 280p remasters broz, NOT a remake cause I didn't like it" lol

Too much is done to put this in port area.

Port or even remaster would be what we got on PS4 earlier vs this. Cause it would question what the fuck is this if they already have a "port" that came out years ago on PS4?

Clearly a difference exist between them and I believe its enough to put it in the remake area as I don't believe the term needs to be based on if we like what they did, enough has changed that its simply not a port as we have an example of what a GTA port is on PS4 already and its not this.

Yeah that's the thing. Purely from a business point of view, should they put time and resources into fulfilling the promises and expectations of CP2077, or put that time and resources towards a new game.

I'm very cynical about them ever getting CP2077 to where is should be. And playing devils advocate I couldn't blame them for not doing so.

It's kind of bullshit that the next gen update is still so far away. When I bought the game for ps5 I thought it would take 3-4 months and that seemed like an eternity with how hyped I was to play Cyberpunk at the time. Now we're almost a year since release and the "next gen update" could feasibly be another 8 months away (or never happen as I don't trust this company after how they continue to conduct themselves). This is insanity.

They owe it to people to at least make good on their promises. Namely, the ps5/x patch. If they don't do that I hope it truly ruins their reputation for good. But I know better than that after seeing companies like Rockstar and ea get away with whatever they want. Gamers will get right back on the Witcher 4 hype train like nothing ever hapoened.

I disagree with the final sentence. I don't think this release will have no impact on Witcher 4 and their future titles. I think this will have a real, lasting hit to their reputation and W4 won't do nearly as well as W3.

The technical flaws have distracted from the fact it's not a very good game.

The skill tree is bloated nonsense. The gunplay is ok, but the guns are all too similar. The cyber skills are underwhelming. Some good quests are buried under mounds of boring side stuff.

Too ambitious. It needs serious editing.

For the long term success of the company? Absolutely. However this is directly at odds with how Shareholders work these days, they want immediate high returns followed by more larger immediate high returns the following year. Growth is the key buzzword for these guys and they will see there returns maximised even if that requires the company dying the year after they pull out.

if they don't fix Cyberpunk 2077 are you going to buy a game full price from these guys again? Cyberpunk sold on not only its own hype but also the reputation of the Witcher 3, if they throw cyberpunk away to work on whatever next title that brand trust while damaged now will forever be lost.

at least the core story is ok

The potential is gone,a massive amount of content and gameplay mechanics was removed during development, this is not the same game that was promised even if it was bug free.

Very much so.

It's one of those games that takes off at certain point and you're really engrossed. And then, at other moments, you're dressed like a date rapist shooting homeless people for quarters.

The game reeks of development hell. They didn't know what they wanted.

Just started this game on my XSX to see how it was working. Just had two NPCs pop in, right in front of me.

Nope CDPR. Nope.

Yeah but will it ever be good on current gen?
Probably, but they'll never get back the 9 months they spent grinding on patches mostly aimed at fixing last gen performance that will never be good. It has seriously slowed the pace of the usual kind of post-release bugs and fixes we generally see from CDPR.

On PC does it really fix all the issues people have with the empty world and shallow gameplay or does it just have less bugs and better performance?
Anyone saying the world is "empty" is lying or high. CP2077 has by far the densest of any open world at that kind of scale. There's so much to do and explore.

I think the more valid criticism is that the world is not very dynamic. It doesn't respond to the player in the way that pre-release hype promised. But, to be honest, neither does any other open world game on the market. It's a product of a dishonest hype cycle more than it is a deeply flawed game.

The AI needs a lot of work regardless of platform. That's the game's biggest real flaw in my view, and it certainly one that could be reasonably fixed in patches, but hasn't yet because they've been focused on technical stuff on consoles that is a wast of time in my opinion.
