Nah. He’s a cunt. Well documented how much of a piece of shit towards women he is, and the reporters responsible for this story are very good at what they do.
The only reason he became a far right wing mouthpiece is because he knew this was coming, and wanted to establish a nice big conspiracy believing fan base who’ll believe anything he says. He’s very good at manipulating people who are either naive or stupid.

And you have to have a good balance and certainly if you get a lot of your media consumption on TV then you are quite blind. You have to go to the Internet, youtube, or whatever source other than mainstream television, to get your information.
And honestly the more voices you have echoing things that are hopefully grounded in some fact, the more you can make an assessed and educated decision versus being told how to think.

No. You have to go to multiple sources - whatever the delivery method - and seek independent, verifiable evidence. Mainstream TV lies or tells the truth no more or less than the internet or YouTube.
The problem doesn't come with where you go to for your information. The problem comes with not taking the time and effort to research a subject properly, by seeking out actual experts in whatever field it is you're researching.
Brand's entire career relies on people watching his egregious, transparent bullshit on YouTube, and doing no other due diligence whatsoever.

I don't know anything about that kind of stuff and honestly, think about this, and realize that I'm not disagreeing with you.
Most people simply don't have time and allow me to put myself in that position. I have two children under 5 years old in the middle of my life and I definitely don't get my information from the mainstream on television. But regardless of whatever you get, you should pull from the buffet of information you have at your disposal in these days. And that means listening to a bit of both sides but Russell is just one of a lot of sources and I don't necessarily watch him all the time and often skip through his content but he has some stuff every once in awhile that I want to listen to just like anywhere else.
I'm not a career politician and want the world to be better, but I'm also not the one that has the time or the drive to make that change. I'm simply the person you might talk to everyday that agrees with you but unfortunately we all know we're in a position where we are just one person and don't have the energy or strength to follow those ambitions.
So in so many words, I know exactly what I said and why I said it. But there is a lot more Nuance than just me giving a simple statement. But at the end of the day, I agree with you more than not.

Why do we waste money on a justice system when the media can convict the 'clearly guilty' in a single headline at much lower cost?
Trial by twitter is also much better than a jury as we can all have a say without having to compare evidence against charges.
This does mean though that Elon Musk, Zuckerberg and Murdock become the supreme court so to be fair we should go further and jail people off anonomous tip offs.

This isn't an isolated incident. This a three year investigation, involving multiple women, over multiple years, across multiple tv shows and channels, with evidence that has been seen by the investigative reporters.
You don't broadcast shit like this unless you are very sure that what you are saying is right, given how much you'd open yourself up to litigation otherwise.

Just read the big article. This one is incredibly damning. It’s a Sunday Times investigation, they have an incredibly high bar for evidence.

After reading this thread and then reading up it seems the Sunday times and some other media group companies have done an investigation outside of the police with 4 unnamed women into allegations of events several years ago.
Whether the allegations are true or not my initial reaction is that it seems odd that the media would publish ahead of any formal proceedings imho.

Like somebody else said, at least I won't be called up for jury anymore, the media and twitter can do a better job than the traditional law methods that underpin society.
