Damn, apparently I should have stuck with my initial numbers, and not looked at everyone else and thought I was clearly being ridiculously optimistic.
PS4 won then, that's nice, wonder if MS took BF though, as that's not mentioned.
Also I'm vindictively delighted Tomb Raider bombed. Called it the moment it was announced and I hope everyone responsible for the decision get's fired. Also that someone was smart enough to put in an escape clause to the exclussivity in case of low sales.
Great news for the industry and consoles overall though. Congested to everyone.
Except Crystal Dynamics. Fuck those guys until I hear the deal wasn't their idea.

Yea Sony imo have to extend it. If this month is any indication $299 is the right price and I'm sure they are seeing strong sales with this recent drop.

Microsoft set a world record for the most active users ever on an xbox one one console for a November month in a year that end in fifteen.
Well Sony had the price one week before Microsoft. So it might balance itself out.
Honestly they both may as well just drop down to $299 in January anyway unless they want to completely tank their sales.

To tell you the truth for pure public relation reasons MS needs to let SE out of any contractual obligations they have. At this point RotTR isn't going to do the XB1 any good, and right now the meme is starting that the the MS deal killed the franchise. MS is going to want to make at least some kind of deal in the future with third parties, but wit the way this turned out it's a big skull and crossbones warning sign to anybody thinking about making exclusive deals for the XB1.
Even if MS doesn't want to do these kinds of deals anymore, they can't let Sony roll them all up. They at least have to be competitive here as a defensive maneuver.

RotTR surely has to rank as one of the most botched exclusivity deals that ever existed by this point, right? The least they could have done was not release it the same week as Fallout 4.
