Whoever wins November almost always wins December.

Xbox One being $299 for 3 weeks might change that, but that depends on how big the gap is this month.

It'd only change ti if Sony weren't $299 as well which it will be for the majority if not all the time.

Honestly, I feel like TR bombing had less to due with exclusivity (though that was obviously a lot of it) and more to do with when it launched. A game like that isn't going to do well competing against Fallout, CoD, AC, Halo, etc. They should have delayed it to Spring and have it continue to serve its original purpose as the counter to UC4.
Remember the original plan was to go up against all the end of year games and Uncharted 4, the imbecility of the original plan knows no bounds.

What percentage of global Xbox one sales are now in November and December? Kinda interesting how it compares historically.

Won't the PS4 also remain at $299?

The "sale" goes through the December 19, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets extended to december 26. Then indefinitely.

I want to see the numbers if Sony and/or MS go back to 349 after this holiday season.

Many insiders showing up here and giving more hints than usual always mean that it is a good month for the video game industry.

Who would have thought the console generation after everybody spelled doom and gloom, consoles being dead, pc is the future, etc would see such amazing growth.

Congrats to Sony and MS on the huge sales.

Sorry for asking, but can someone explain the whole 'digital sales' reference?

I have been seeing it pop up often enough that it must be referring to something specific.

Just check this post:

Your mad if you think digital isn't drastically outselling physical.

I can name one person out of a friendship group of 10 people who bought Halo 5 physically rather than digital. That's 10/90% split in physical/digital in my friendship group. I'd say it's a similar story in a lot of other peoples.

Cover 20%? Your mad.

I think it ends before the 26th, something like the 19th(?).

XB1 is $299 until the 26th as oppose to PS4 which is the 19th.

For two weeks. Microsoft has already started and won't end until a week after Sony's ends.

The "sale" goes through the December 19, but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets extended to december 26. Then indefinitely.

....

Perhaps Sony should extend that $299 price-point for a few more days.

No need to concede such an important shopping week to MS, especially if it's just a matter of several days.
