So what are the odds that they "run long" next week and the Cole/JR stuff gets cut again? It'll probably never happen and will eventually be exposed as a giant troll.

Nah, they're in England next week. England shows shows are typical filler crap so Cole/JR will fit in fine.

Jim Ross just tweeted this before removing it:

"Orville ''Shaggy'' Burrell doing the theme song for Wrestlemania next year and possibly even performing at the event."

Shaggy?

.......................

Really?

They are???? Jeez, then its going to be another garbage RAW next week too? I can't take much more of this> I am going to lose my shit!!!!

The question is, did muppets on Raw last night kill any bit of realism that they had left? I'm sure there were some out there that still held onto a tiny belief that it was real, but now interacting with muppets killed any realism they might have had. It was great to see the muppets, but I think this might be one of the worst things they've ever done business wise.

I can't remember a wrestling show that was worse than last night, I am talking about in the history of wrestling. WCW circa 2000 was better.

You found the walkout episode to be better than last nights?

At least it advanced the plot (we already knew about Rock/Cena teaming and Cole/JR didn't happen).

Really? They were just having fun on Halloween. It is no where near one of the worst things they have done. FFS, wrestling is also about being entertaining as well. Don't watch CHIKARA or DDT as I'm sure you guys will hate that style of wrestling as well.

Practice run for the WWE Network.

Definitely.

A couple more WWE.com articles:

What was CM Punk wearing?

20111101_punk_trouble.jpg

The WWE Divas weren’t the only ones wearing Halloween costumes on Raw SuperShow. His guise consisting only of a shirt featuring an illustration of Dr. Fu Manchu, CM Punk walked down to the ring as his childhood hero, Jack Burton. Who? Exactly!

Like everything else about The Second City Savior, Punk’s hero isn’t a mainstream media darling like Superman or Spider-Man. Jack Burton, played by Kurt Russell, was the protagonist in the 1986 film, “Big Trouble in Little China”.

“I can quote the entire movie from start to finish,” Punk told WWE.com. “I wanted to be Jack Burton when I was a kid. He wasn’t a total hero. He seemed more real to me. He was charismatic as hell but a total goof. Sound familiar? [laughing] People have flaws. Nobody is perfect but you can still be awesome.”

This should've been explained to the viewers at home. My Twitter timeline blew up last night with "WTF is Punk wearing?" tweets and I'm sure there were even people backstage that had no clue what that was about.

And the last link is Cena reacting to The Rock

But what does it matter if people think it's real or not? What are you, some kind of mark? HUH?

I found the walkout episode to be on a Wrestlemania level compared to last night. At least I was entertained for the first 25 min. of the walkout episode. Last night I was in full on SMH.........let me just go back to playing BF3 mode.

He's talking about realism. You know, those fans that sit there on the couch and really believe that John Cena overcomes the odds every time. Or that old guy that is sitting on the couch telling his grandson that it's real, damnit while the kid's parents watch in disbelief and plan next thanksgiving holiday at the other grandparents place.

You mean Triple H didn't get dropped by a crane by Austin? Vince didn't blow up in a limo for reals?

Dwayne was probably the worst thing last night.

Yeah I am already tired of his taped promos from his back yard in Bel Air CA/ Mullholland CA.

I recognize the back scenery so much.

I love Rock a lot, and will always be grateful for the memories he gave me. Meeting him at a book signing, seeing him live etc..........And I know he could be doing better things than getting in the ring again, but man that promo last night sucked. And him teaming with Cena is the worst idea in a long long time.

I'm sorry if I am being negative right now, I just can't believe where we were in June/July, and where we are now.

I basically cannot stand the Rock right now, which is weird, as I was always a huge fan. It is not the same hate I have for Hogan, but it is getting close. All of his current promos reek of the same pandering shit that Hogan does/did during his multiple comebacks.

Wait... I know this is the WWE

But.. what?

Like was Eve at that gas station the entire time hoping they would stop there for snacks? (They wouldn't both get out for gas)

And if she was, how'd she get there?

According to the article:

We called WWE’s Talent Relations department, who sent a car to pick us up. Beth and Natalya both suggested that the police be contacted, but we were informed that under John Laurinaitis, all rental cars for talent are booked with multiple Superstars/Divas listed as drivers, since at any given moment a new driver might be needed to get from city to city.

“It’s a safety net, really,” said a Talent Relations representative at WWE HQ. “We never expected anyone to abuse the fact that any Diva can drive any Diva’s rental car to do something like this, but, it’s not illegal. It’s not very nice, but neither are they. I think they got what they deserved. They stole Eve’s stuff! (MORE) Hey, you’re not going to print my name or anything, are you?”

The short story is that Eve and Alicia tailed Beth and Natalya to a gas station, where Beth predictably left her keys in the car. Eve jumped out, took off with Beth and Natalya’s car, their cell phones, their clothes, and, of course, one Louis Vuitton scarf.

Hogan is a god. The last of the wrestling titans.

Seriously, hollow words. He's not into it anymore.

Either that, or everything is carefully scripted to include every catch phrase he's ever done and it just takes the fun out of it for him.

I was never a big mark of the Rock but I could enjoy some promos he did, eventually I got tired of peoples elbow and etc. the way people are tired of Cena but Rocky didn't stay nearly 10 years in title runs.

But oh god man, these promos are terrible, I hate the way the rock looks now and just ...I don't want to fucking SEE him anymore it was painful to watch. Just shut up Dwayne.

What if they get Rock in the ring at Survivor Series and learn that hey, this guy can't really carry a 20 - 30 min PPV match like he used to. Do you think they would back out of Cena vs Rock if Rock somehow sucked at SS?/

I fully endorse G-Fex's hatred of all things Dwayne.
I also approve of the WWE booking angles where faces steal the rental cars of heels and leaves them stranded in strange cities.
Eve clearly hasn't forgotten her stint mentoring Cryme Tyme. Word Up!

That is not going to happen. The Rock is going to have ring rust, but he already invited the Miz and R-truth to start planning out the match already. So he is giving it his all so the match will be good. It's not like he is showing up cold for the match.

Once again, WWE managed to turn off a good chink of its viewers from hour one to hour two. Overall the show did a 3.1 rating with 4,487,000 viewers but the big story was that hour one did a 3.21 rating while hour two dropped down to a 3 and lost 236,000 viewers. The fans are sending a message Vince. Will you listen?

The 10/29 edition of AM Raw did a 0.69 rating with 792,000 viewers.

Same thing keeps happening. One of these weeks people are just going to say screw it, tune out, and they won't be there the next week.

It's because Hour 1 had Via Rock.

The lesson here is that every quarter needs to have a Satellite Rock segment.[/Vince]

It's been "one of these weeks" for a while now.

They kept hyping Cena-Miz, but really, no one cared. And after witnessing its booking immediately following the match, why should we? Just awful.

I think context makes a difference though. WWE tries to present itself as a serious, realistic programme. Chikara has always had wackyness, so when ants come out to wrestle its fine. When guys who are supposed to be in a realistic setting talk to puppets like they are real people its not.

Hmm, now I want the Muppets on Chikara.

Ants? You go to ants when talking about Chikara's craziness?

This guy is a snake.
