It's actually much worse than that

Rumble 2016: Charlotte beat Becky, got beat up by Sasha postmatch
Fastlane and Road Block: Charlotte retained, Sasha and Becky fought for number one contendership
Mania: Charlotte beat Sasha and Becky
Payback and Extreme Rules: Charlotte retained
MITB: Charlotte won tag match vs Becky
Battleground: Charlotte lost tag match vs Sasha
Summerslam: Charlotte beat Sasha
Clash of Champions: Charlotte beat Sasha and Bayley
HIAC: Charlotte beat Sasha

Excluding Survivor Series, there were 4 Raw PPVs this year where a Horsewoman didn't fight Charlotte (Charlotte retained each time), and 3 where Sasha wasn't number one contender (2 she spent the build fighting Becky for that spot). Talk about shit getting stale

Someone should tweet this to Vince's and WWE's accounts.

About twenty days left now I believe? I'm still predicting Shamesaro grab it at the Royal Rumble.

Yes, I am worried they'll go to Raw

Fuck me, I didn't think it was that bad.

Should now have a Lex Luger style gimmick where he hits people with the titanium eye.

I watched Revival/DIY II.

New top 5 MOTY

1) Dragon Gate Cage Match (Dead or Alive)
2) Omega/Naito (G1)
3) Mashimo/Miyahara (Champions Carnival)
4) DIY/Revival (Takeover Toronto)
5) Ospreay/Kushida (Invasion Attack)

It was pretty fucking good.

1. Styles/Nakamura WK10
2. Tana/Okada WK10
3. Brock/Godberg because it's the hardest I've marked out in years, and that has to count for something

New Day and Dean Ambrose are why wrestling fans are now at the same bottom tier as anime fans

thanks a lot

lmao last I checked WWE was the one that begged for the Crunchyroll promotion

please don't try to bring anime down to that level. We'll never take responsibility for Dean. Nevah

coaches in the WNBA
1) Trauma 1 vs Canis Lupus

Makes me wonder this thread feelings on Doctor Who. Also, that 6 women tag on NXT shows the age difference between the men and women on the show.

The six ages were 22, 22, 28, 24, 23 and 27.

The youngest men featured most on the roster is the Authors of Pain and Patrick Clark. After that most are 28 or older.

The next call up with most likely be Tye who is 35.

It's like they took every bad idea they ever had for Total Divas and put it into this episode for Total Divas' most recent episode.

Lana learns how to shotput! Right next to Natalya's car!
There was a tragedy in Orlando! Naomi is from Orlando!
Brie Bella wants to have a baby! Brie Bella is ovulating! But Bella Brand! Bella Brand!

I had thought the show might improve because they took a step back from being The Paige Show Starring Paige and largely removed all-dead everything from the mix. But the creators were just finding a new groove of awfulness.

So are the Bellas supposed to be heels on these shows? Because if not, if they manage to come across as awful as they do while the scripting and editing is trying to make them look good, then they must really be the WORST.

The Naomi subplot wouldn't have been so bad if they treated it with some importance or if Naomi had anything interesting to say and do. And the Lana shit is hilarious considering I can't even remember the last time she wrestled.

WWE would never have the guts to take a year off

And they'll have lost more fans in the span of the year they've been doing more programming than ever than Doctor Who has lost in decades, let alone this year off

DW: also higher on every list than wrestling

There's the obvious sexism involved in a regressive company like WWE where women are still expected to be physically attractive in a mainstream way, and to WWE one of the key components of that is young. Nowadays the women are also at least allowed to be good wrestlers, although it still isn't be any means a necessity. So there's that.

Then there's the fact a lot of the women will probably want to go off and have kids and as much as any job I can think of, a wrestling schedule would preclude that. There's the constant travel and the physical requirements, those are pretty legitimate. Then there's the fact that a lot of these people are pretty conservative and so probably don't have husbands or boyfriends who would want to be a full-time stay at home dad while the woman is off traveling the world wrestling. No reason that shouldn't happen, but there's a lot of stuff working against it and it'd take a particularly driven individual who really wanted have a long career wrestling.

I mean, until the last two years, I can't see any reason a woman would even want to stick around WWE for that long anyway, since they weren't taken seriously at all.

Charlotte at 30 is past the age of retirement for many female wrestlers!

As far as all that needing to change - heck, sure, it'd be nice to have some truly experienced women on the roster who had long-lasting charisma and ability to be entertaining, but think of the environment we're dealing with here as well. It's a pretty crazy thing to take a stand on specifically.

Anime is way below wrestling.

nah dawg.

I don't even like anime like that but in the year of our lord 2016 being an anime fan is a looooooooooooot more accepted than being a wrestling smark. Miyazaki stuff is one of the most popular and revered things out there right now in the mainstream. Wrestling would kill for something like that now.

And that's a shoot.

Just rewatched Punk vs Taker. Punk was the fucking best. Wish D+ player HHH wasn't such a petty and jealous bitch. 😔😔😔

I don't care how much it makes you stand out, being bare foot in wrestling is disgusting and is god damn dangerous. Don't sacrifice your ankles for that MMA look, Matt Riddle. Not when I see dirt in your soles and I just stop watching your match. Scusting.

I watch it and post in its thread and it has some similarities. The circular discussion of Moffat vs Russell T Davies.

They even had discussion of article from England on rumors of the show being cancelled due to declining viewership while its popularity in America has increased.

Working list:
*Tomohiro Ishii vs. Kazuchika Okada, NJPW G1 Climax 26 Night 13
*Meiko Satomura (c) vs. Aja Kong, Sendai Girls, April 8, 2016
*Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn, WWE/NXT TakeOver: Dallas
*Kengo Mashimo vs. Kento Miyahara, AJPW Champion Carnival Day One
*Pentagon Jr. & Fenix vs. Heroes Eventually Die (Chris Hero & Tommy End), PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2016 Night 2

I think they're a part of one of those concussion lawsuits against WWE.

Raven later said he's currently "persona non grata" in WWE because he recently sued the company based on the language in his contract. Raven and all WWE Superstars are classified as "independent contractors," which means they shouldn't be held to the same standards as regular employees. WWE still treats its talent as though they're regular employees - except without issuing healthcare or benefits. Raven said he was really trying to change the business by instituting healthcare in WWE, hoping that it would cause a ripple effect throughout the industry. Raven wasn't able to get enough people onboard with the class action lawsuit and fell victim to the statute of limitations. He said he feels "the judge was in Vince's pocket" as Vince would've been liable for around $225 million dollars if he lost the case.

Kasai vs Violento Jack was this year too and that was a great match
tumblr_obargxC3Qk1s066k8o1_400.gif

Jack probably the best 'new(to most people)' deathmatch wrestler right now.
