I think he's boring and lame but so is Brock so I guess it's better to have them fighting each other than jobbing out new guys?
For me, I think it's pretty fun. He plays the "grizzled old man with a heart of gold" well (probably because by all accounts, that's who he is irl), and him squashing Brock is the hardest I've laughed since I started watching again. But as someone who didn't watch WCW growing up, the nostalgia factor is lost on me. I also kinda wish one of the younger guys could get the star treatment he does.
Probably the best feel good ending to a WWE PPV since Daniel Bryan at WM30.

I was one of them, and I'm happy to be wrong, I've hated the way they've handled part timers in the past, but Goldberg has been absolutely fantastic.
none of the younger guys are worthy
and that is 100% on the booking, not the talent themselves

Oh I know. But it still sucks to see these people work 300 days a year, destroying their bodies, and be pushed aside for part timers because they're not "grabbing the brass ring" or whatever the fuck.

Yeah, as a fan of pointing out when people were wrong, I was absolutely completely wrong and never been happier to be.
Took 13 or 14 years but they finally figured out how to book Goldberg, if only for one night (they still haven't earned enough trust for me to believe they do it again at the Rumble and/or Mania, but I can hope/dream).
I normally hate how they treat part timers too, but Goldberg was always The "arrive, squash person, leave" man, and those 10 minute-plus matches with HHH or the EC where he gets bloodied by Evolution or the 10 minute Mania snoozefest were the fucking worst uses of him
That's my WWE Match of the Year easily, and I never could have imagined that during the build or especially when the match was rumored or announced. Rooting for a wonderful Rumble
