200K to 115K really isnt that huge of a deal IMO.Would it make such a difference if the PS4 was a few thousand units over 200k?

Would it make such a difference if the PS4 was a few thousand units over/under 200k?
smash will be a huge hit on 3DS..
We got 3ds numbers?
With these numbers, the impending price drop will make sure of it.Oh man, could Xbone numbers drop below 100K in may?
the show, bound by flame (lol), various smaller digital games, the same mp they bought at launch (heh) etc.
Wait for leaks. Couple hours from now usually. When do we get the raw numbers for Sony consoles?
You don't know the numbers.
And Opus not being banned even though a mod is here gives credence to what is said.
Yeah I didn't get that either.I can't tell if Kinect Sports Rivals was a bomb or not.
I don't see Kinect Sports up on that list though? Any ideas how well the game performed?
Using quotes from 2007 is very relevant in May 2014.By their own admission the NPD group only covers 60% of the US market.
"The NPD Group’s total US numbers are based on reports from around 60 percent of US retailers."
Taken from one of their own PR statements.
It's not an opinion being expressed when you're talking numbers in a NPD thread the way they are being stated here. Why would someone ban him for giving his opinion?
Holy shit, dat spin.
Wii U's first April was about 37.5 or 38K.
PS3's was 86K, Wii was 360K, 360's was 295K.
It was immediately suspicious when Sony hardware dropped off the map, and it happened just as the Wii and the 360 were starting to rival the PS3 in North America.
So I'm sure you can see why I feel as I do.
I assume this guy is reliable, so here is the answer for those infamous questions
Those confused by this ^ tweet, he meant top selling software on next-gen consoles only means ISS (PS4) > Titanfall, COD, etc (XBO)
Outsold the Xbone version of Titanfall? Whoa...
Question:
How long can the NPD group continue to not track digital sales and still remain relevant?

So how long before NPD starts providing digital sales numbers? And how would that work? Would they have to partner with the various content providers? Would they simply provide estimates?
Nah, tune will probably change to "economy is to blame" or "consoles are dead" before that happens en masse. Then we'll make fun of that too.
Someone who knows the actual number said under 200K. I believe him or her.
You expect it to outsell PS4, and ppl call me delusional. There will still be meltdowns if it beats xbox.
3DS numbers are bad as usual. Smash on 3DS will be one of the more interesting sales age stories to watch. I've been on the side that it won't do as well as the Wii U version in the west, and will fail to do that much as the local mp is so important.
I don't see Kinect Sports up on that list though? Any ideas how well the game performed?
“Infamous: Second Son was the top-selling new-gen software title in April,” PlayStation brand boss Guy Longworth said in a statement.

For software? Probably another three years, max, before they stop publishing software charts due to the digital stores refusing to provide numbers.Question:

Ugh. I just thought of Beyblade when I saw this...Only reason I like NPD day is for the spin!

Really they are just too expensive. The PS2 was selling quite a bit better when it was the same age, but it was $99 by that point.

Calling it now May will be below 80k units for Xbone.
For the month most likely not in total.if in total (the two months)
then wow
What is Opus an insider? See I don't know that. But I do know it doesn't make sense to say "almost 2:1" of 115K if the actual number's under 200k. That'd be a bad way to phrase it.You don't know the numbers.
And Opus not being banned even though a mod is here gives credence to what is said.
Interestingly, if software sales data was counted on a by-SKU basis -- meaning that game sales were tabulated per-console instead of combined, Yoshi's New Island (3DS), Infamous: Second Son (PS4), MLB 14: The Show (PS3), Kinect Sports Rival (Xbox One), and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Xbox One) all would have charted.

Microsoft must be shitting themselves.
How did they let things get this bad?

I don't think it is either, considering the light the Xbox One has been painted in over the last few months.
