Genuine great game, check it out! It is on PC as well if you don't have a XBO.
Bloodborne sold more than Battlefield hardline and GTA 5 this month on a given platform. It's not as big as those series but we can hardly call it niche. Not any more niche than any other game that aren't in the yearly top 5 (namely Fifa, Cod, BF, etc).

Yeap Feb and Mar the deal worked for PS4 but in April only for Xbone.
Actually since it is number 4 doesn't that mean BB had right around 82K. Pretty big fall but expected. Definitely better than the order did in it's second month.

It's a critical and consumer darling that fills a very specific need for people. but it's not a mass market product. A game like far cry is only just getting there and that one is like what, 7mm world wide?

PS4 is now done 3/4 months versus last year, despite having lots of bundles and deals that they didn't have last year at this time. It's falling further and further behind the PS2. Wii sold 721K in it's second April, more than 4X the PS4's number, so there is lots of room for improvement.

Why is it that when the Xbox wins for the month people blow it off like it's not important? Whereas if the PS4 had won there would be cheers and tears of joy.

Or maybe the majority of Shield consoles are not sold in retail units. I wouldn't be surprised if it were 33. Never seen it in any store aside Amazon.
The single player is like 3 hours long and the online multiplayer is so offensively bad it might as well not even exist.
Bloodborne #4 by SKU is encouraging. The fact it outsold the individual SKUs of BFH and GTAV gives me hope. Glad to see it hasn't dropped off as much as the title list would seem to indicate. Here's hoping it continues to sell at a decent clip through the Holidays. From deserves the success.
Also impressed at MLB pushing the second month sales. Didn't expect to see it doing that well.

As I thought. It's just hard for a SKU on a single platform to chart at all these days with AAA monsters releasing on 3+ platforms and with contenders like GTA or Battlefield in the mix. And Minecraft, of course

The reason PS4 needs a price drop has nothing to do with MS outselling them by a small amount.
It needs a price drop because it is down YoY for the entire first quarter. If Sony want to maintain momentum and be up YoY its time to cut price before this holiday.

Yeah, all special editions are separated SKU.
I believe Sony will drop the price in september with MGS V.

Yep but my prediction was for 1.5 million at NPD. I'll own up and say I missed my prediction but I'm not too bothered as it was within the same realm. Still a huge succes and yeah with digital it may well have done close to 1.5

I was believing in more than 1 million including 360 and PS3. Since old gen versions are delayed I'm surprised, 1.25m at retail is amazing.
