NPD Sales Results for April 2015 [Up1: Xbox One #1]

The 3DS ought to be at DS price levels by now. 169-199 is just too much for most apparently.
And obviously the WiiU needs a pricecut too, but Nintendo won't be able to unless massive hit on profit is taken. Which I don't see them doing.

Considering all things, Bloodborne did decently, its sales were front loaded but sold more than i million if i remember, those sales are very good for a new ip , not "evergreen" kind of title, there are many games i wish sold as well as Bloodborne.

Traditional handheld gaming is on a decline even more on NA ,N3DS XL was always going to sell to the already existing userbase, wich is not very happy with the available model,i wonder how the NX can help this.

I think GT5:prologue came that month. Probably helped the PS3 sales more than Bloodborne did for PS4

Neither did afaik.

A lot of people thought so because MK X was featured during the Sony E3 2014 presser, but there has been 0 co-marketing on adds, no exclusive DLC anything, no pre-order bonus exclusive, etc.

Not according to the research I've read.

Your second quote however I'd agree with.

Of course the paper is a few years old, it's possible that customers have shifted their behaviour. But we can't recalculate without more data than NDP is willing to hand out, so if anybody knows some grad students :).

Hopefully From is pissed that their masterpiece already fell off the charts and makes their next game multiplat. Would have loved a 60fps Bloodborne.

I really don't think the sales would be much higher if the normal N3DS was available in NA.

It will be nice once the NPD start tracking digital sales; because not alot can be read into these figures until then. It's handy for the hardware sales figures though

The game has already sold incredibly well and will continue to sell well for the remainder of the year.

IMO May will be a toss up. the One doesn't have those trade in deals and I think MS really dropped the ball without announcing a bundle. I think the PS4 version of Witcher 3 will sell the most on consoles.

I do forsee another slow month for May sales. Summer, Aside from the Witcher there is nothing. People will be more geared towards E3 imo.
