Is that so, They always used the playstation version during streams, Conan, and demos so I thought that was Sony paying for marketing.
Well that explains a lot
Yep, those of us who posted your predictions in the prediction thread are doomed!
Yeah, 114k is pathetic when you factor in the new SKU. Clearly the New 3DS didn't reinvigorate the platform like Nintendo expected it to. At least Xenoblade kinda did well...?
The Splatoon bundle will do okay, but it's only going to make a difference if it launches alongside a major price cut. I suppose Nintendo could still be planning a cut at the last minute, as they wouldn't want to completely kill sales in the meantime.
If they haven't done it by Black Friday, you'll probably be able to get an new XBO or PS4 cheaper than a new WiiU.
Cut the price Sony. Shake that ass for this money.
Yes. Wasn't that what was used in the predictions?
Impulse purchasers jumped in on Bloodborne after all the 9s and 10s, died a million times, and told their friends that it sucked.
Casual word of mouth won't be carrying it, but it's probably already sold enough and will continue to do so to have been worthwhile on Sony's part.
That's pretty cool. Is there a particular reason for the sales increase?
I really doubt tbh,You realise BB is selling more than past games that were multiplatform?
Some retailer did $125-175 trade-in to buy a Xbone this month. As an Xbox One owner I'm trying to think of what was happening to cause the win. I bought MKX, but that's multiconsole. I really have no idea.
Good for them regardless.
ps4 not winning april npd is obviously the result of the constant delays of the few exclusives announced by sony, refusal to remain priced competitively against xbox due to sony's obvious cockiness, relying on third parties and indies, lack of meaningful system software updates; have you seen the screen shots image quality on xbox one? ps4's only critically acclaimed exclusive so far is incredibly niche it is not hard to see why ps4 did not maintain momentum, the better console won this month
Huh. Reversed. Usually XBO has the highest software and the PS4 has the highest hardware sales.
Fair enough, though I still wouldn't consider 2 million niche simply because it isn't a mega hit. It's not super mainstream like what was listed, but it's still a step above niche IMOFollow the conversation back to where it started: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=163994389&postcount=180

I believe donny used 265k
Huh? PS4 always sells more software.
So to answer your question more generally, here are some major franchises and what they have been selling recently:
GTA: 35 million (or 45 if we want to count PS4/XB1, but I realize there's a lot of rebuying here)
CoD: 20-25 million
Diablo: 20+ million
Elder Scrolls: 20+ million
Battlefield: 15-18 million
FIFA: 12-14 million[/b]
Pokemon: 10-14 million
Assassin's Creed: 10-12 million
Watch Dogs: 10+ million
Smash Bros: 10+ million
Borderlands: 10+ million
Far Cry: 7-10 million
Tomb Raider: 8.5 million
The Last of Us: 7 million
NBA: 7-8 million
Fallout: 6+ million
Resident Evil: 6+ million
Madden: 5-6 million
Gears of War: 5-6 million
Uncharted: 5-6 million
Need For Speed: 4-5 million
I haven't even listed out things like Mario or Zelda or Destiny or Gran Turismo or Halo or LEGO or Skylanders.
2 million isn't very big by today's standards, especially for a $60 retail title.
Maybe you read my post before the threads were merged. That would explain why you thought there were two exact posts. Why the repeat post (#22)?
How did MLB have better legs than Bloodborne?
Really random X1 win since there were no big releases. Where there any new bundles or promotions?
Since the release of New Nintendo 3DS in February this year, especially for the large-screened New Nintendo 3DS XL, stock in stores has continued to run low in the U.S. and Europe, which of course is a sign that the game platform has momentum
Sony on the defensive? Good lord. Its one month where they were most likely barely outsold. In ONE country where they already have a decent lead.
I'm more wondering what occurred on the Xbox side yo have the good sales. There weren't any releases of note were there?

This is great news. The competition in bundle deals this holiday season is gonna be fierce.
Is this the first month they've won that isn't November/December?
To an extent, but even divided by 2 all of those games are at least 2 millionSurprised by the Xone sales, PS4 really drop off.
I think is unfair compare a exclusive game with multiplat sales.
Very surprising month for Xbox One. Good news for Microsoft, there's a battle in USA.
I want an XBO for $250 with 2 games. Come on momma, show me the goods!
Microsoft has finally won a preseason month.
