Does the March NPD period run through April 4th?
Yes, it's 5 weeks.
Yea, any stock that is sold out will be replenished.BB is going to do pretty well then.
as I mentioned before, Sony took out extended ads for this game in primetime during the Walking Dead.

That isn't cheap, and doesn't make sense for them to only ship 300k physical copies for that kind of ad blitz.
Well that's compelling sure but it is entirely conjecture. I was hoping ot get a response from the retail insiders as to what their shipment numbers looked like and which of the two situations seems more likely.
The PS4 camera is now free with the PS4 at Best Buy I think this might become the standard before the end of the year.

I think they under shipped, The Shogun said BB sales are looking to be close to The Order sales.
LOL so XB1 takes Kinect out of the box to price match the PS4 and Sony throws theirs in free of charge for the same price. If this shit ends up going mainstream and becomes a regular package for PS4 that would be fucking hilarious.
Did he specifically talk about shipped supply or just offer a general prediction of sales? I'm honestly curious about what sort of numbers retailers are seeing for shipments of the game even if it is just low, normal or high.
I hope it does become a standard by the time I buy another on later this year. I doubt it though. Is the camera needed for Morpheus?
I expect BB to have sold about 150 thousand in the US by the time the next NPD comes around. Judging by the amount of people looking into BB and how unprepared Sony were stock wise(seriously, how could they undership by so much? its their main seller for this year! then again LBP3 did get sent out with nary a whisper), that seems like a reasonable number.
Combine that with EU and JP sales and i think this game will go for about 500-550k lifetime. Heh, not so bad at all for a semi new IP that isn't particularly welcoming at all to new comers. Although i put that 50k leeway in due to the amount of possible refunds, a lot of people are probably gonna be blindsided by the game's challenge.
500k lifetime sales?! I am almost certain it has done 500k worldwide already. You know Demon's Souls did more than that.

onQ said:2 off-the-shelf high speed RGB sensors from OmniVision the OV9713 & Image processing unit OV580 that's being used in other products like the HP Sprout & will also be the chip used in SMI's Eye tracking IP that will be found in smartphones, tablets , PCs & other devices. Even the depth sensing is being done by something that's already in the console the GPU. the only unique parts being created for the PS4 camera is the PCB ,USB3 connection & housing.
Why is that an advantage? Simple a cheaper price & better use of resources.
Where MS spent resources on special parts for Kinect's depth sensing Sony just left head room in it's GPU for compute tasks. So if there is nothing being done with the cameras there isn't much lost on the PS4 end & depth isn't always going to be needed so the cheaper price makes it an impulse buy for the simple things that it can be used for. With the parts being used in other products the price will go even lower & the camera could became a standard part of the PS4 without making the price go up too much in the long run.

The camera is sold mostly at around $44 now a price that seem reasonable for people who just want to do simple things like live broadcasting , head tracking , face scans & so on, but PlayStation 4 Camera still face the same problem as Kinect 2.0 there isn't any software that's showing it's worth beyond basic functions.

i know predicting is hard but c'mon, that's not even trying.
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
What's funny? Its just a fact that Shogun has predicted BFH to be number one by far for this month, and that game doesn't seem like its gonna go anywhere near BF4 anyway...i think that when you think about something like Halo MCC, the biggest thing MS has done barely cracking the top 10, an exclusive to PS4 seems to be in hot water, especially considering 1886's position

Amazon monthly shows PS4 at #7 and Xbox Unity bundle at #16.
Might not be that big of a bloodbath as some are expecting.

I guess we'll see.
You guys are going to be impressed
It's literally the second best selling game on Amazon for the year. It's going to do 550k worldwide in the first two weeks. If not already.I guess we'll see.
Well. I don't know is this means US only or WW.
Jesus, Bloodborne and PS4 is burying everything on Amazon's Best Sellers.
March NPD is going to be an absolute bloodbath. MS can kiss goodbye to a large chunk of that holiday season shaving off of the PS4's lead.
This is Sony's #Primetime
It's just pre-season. Don't take too much from it.

He/she said combined with Japan and EU so worldwide...

For being cautious with an estimate? Ok.
I just think people are setting themselves up for disappointment if they think this is going to do the numbers of a multiplatform Souls release like DKS1 which did about 1.2 million WW(i can't find the official data slide they put out), and that was a while after the PC version came out to boot, which was already a while after the 360/PS3 versions

The PC version of Dark Souls 2 sold a million by itself. You're not being cautious, you're being ridiculous. For being cautious with an estimate? Ok.

When do we have the next NPD sale results?
So where is the prediction thread for March? Usually its up by now.
March 2015 Best Sellers is up
PS4 is #4
XB1 AC Bundle #16
But far more interesting is that
Bloodborne is #6
Bloodborne CE is #26
Whereas Battlefield Hardline is
PS4 at #41
XB1 at #64
I said it before and I'll say it again Battlefield Hardline is going to be an absolute bomb for the Battlefield series. While it might sell well compared to average sales it will fall massively short of even the underwhelming sales seen for Battlefield 4. If the world was a just place then Bloodborne would outsell it in March but thanks to it being multiplat and a popular FPS that is still unlikely. I think they will be much closer in sales than some seem to think though.
