Zelda is the one that has no chance.
Honestly, I think Zelda will have a tough time passing 3-ish million WW. Especially if Japan still can't remember who Zelda even is.
For it to sell 2 million in the first week? I can't see it.
Definitely.
People really have very inflated expectations for the LoZ franchise in terms of sales.
Tbqh, the franchise is like DKC; it has the potential to build momentum and move hardware, but if Nintendo doesn't put a lot of power behind it it'll end up giving a pretty disappointing performance.
Nintendo? There's a good chance that 75% of what is "wrong with Nintendo" will be present in the next gen.
Errr...
I don't know about that; sounds ridiculously pessimistic if you ask me.
Their 9th gen plans sound pretty stable as far as I'm concerned ("fuck western peeps, unified portable/home hardware, indies/Japanese, lower prices, no droughts, and focus on kids/families."); it's possible they or the market conditions that will exist in the late new tens could screw it all up, but it seems like the big N understands why the WiiU has failed so badly.
I'm confident that they'll work something out; we're not dealing with 5th gen Nintendo here, they've been through this before.
